BRAND X

Brand X's music could be best described as energetic and danceable rap with occasional r'n'b influences, but all in all the group just wants to create good music, no matter in which category it falls.
It all started back in 2003 when the MC's Samurai and Lossini met up in Helsinki and since both of them had been working with hip-hop music and production before, they decided to see if they could come up with something together. Pretty soon the first songs we're uploaded in internet and they we're met with moderate enthusiasm. Brand X's first performance took place in Restaurant Kaarle XII in Helsinki, together with a groove band 'Soul Patrol', nowadays known as 'Jam Onion'.
In 2004 DJ Rahim joined the group officially and Brand X released a homemade single 'Drop Down', which won the National Yle X radio station's weekly demo competition and received some radio play during the summer. Since then, Brand X has been performing in many different venues varying from big charity concerts and open air festivals to smaller club gigs. Brand X has been featured on YLE and SUBTV, plus the Finnish Music Television's news due to the X-treme Car Show performance in 2006.
In the beginning of 2006 Brand X signed a management deal with Fume Management, and released their debut single
' Go Go ' in internet music stores during the summer. In the beginning of 2007 the contract was changed so, that Fume Management and Brand X could collaborate on freelance basis, but Brand X has full rights to their own work and takes care of their own management at the moment.
So far the group has produced two official music videos and singles. The 'Go Go' music video was directed by Jaakko Valkiainen in 2005. In 2006 another video was directed in collaboration with Jaakko Valkiainen and Tommi Hippeläinen. The video's song was titled 'Dance', a collaboration between Brand X and Erick Jon. The track was produced by Brand X's Samurai & Lossini.
Brand X's 'BX - The Warm Up' - EP album was released on 16th of June 2007. The EP includes some of Brand X's earlier tracks, newly recorded versions, plus some never before released songs. The EP is available in several hip-hop stores in Finland and can also be found in Speedway -store, Stockholm, Sweden.
Recently Brand X's Samurai & Lossini have composed some music for the B2-movie. The "Go Go" single is also included in the movie soundtrack. ( B2-movie )
At the moment Brand X has begun the work on their full debut album, which is due to be released next year. Brand X is currently looking for publishers and other collaborators to help with the upcoming promotions, album release and distribution.
