Level 4

Level 4 has been in existence for the past 6 years now. This talented vocal group consists of 2 young vibrant St.Lucians from the district of Micoud:Clement Henry (Cylva J) and Cyrus Frederick (Da Vyrus). Level 4 had originally started up with 4 members in all,which was Cylva J,Vyrus,Schreffler Maxwell (Scruff Pup) and Jasha Cadet known as Jasha also from Micoud. Before the group was formed,each member was already into singing and performing at local shows,beauty pagents,school shows,kareoke etc. Being that we were all from the same neighbour hood,we eventually came together to form Level 4. But Shreffler and Jasha left the group for personal reasons,and it came down to Vyrus and Cylva J who pledged to keep the fire burning and bring Level 4 to the pick of its potential no matter what.Cyla J-born a St.Lucian 27.02.79,originally known as Clement Henry aka Bob or Burky by his family and friends has been singing and playing various instruments since the age of 5. Being constantly surrounded by music at home,and also having the priviledge to be part of a family band"New Age" practically moulded Cylva J's musical skills through time. Now at the age of 27, Cylva hopes to take the music to a higher level,a "Level 4" level so to speak.Da Vyrus-Cyrus Frederick refered to as Cyrus da Vyrus by his peers was born in the village of Micoud in St Lucia. Da Vyrus now 21 years old started djing on his fathers sound system from the age of 12,where he got his inspiration from listening to the likes of Beenie man,Shabba Ranks,T.O.K,Bounty killa and a few other dancehall greats. During his school days,Vyrus took every opportunity he got to showcase his unique vocal and performing skills. Now he looks to take the music to a whole new level bringing a fresh and unique style. For 4 years now Level 4 has been working with Francis "Leebo"Delima and Adam Gilmore of one of St Lucia's leading recording studios which is Khronic Heights Recording Studio.Under the Khronic Heights label "L 4" has released many tracks such as"Girl like u","Lucian gal" and "Cry of the people" which was released last year during the Carnival season. Presently 2006 Level 4 has released a hit single on the Travelers Riddim entitled "In Her Life" produced by Leebo which has taken the island by storm. L4 also released a bonus track along with the single entitled "bam bam roll" also a Khronic Heights Production which is gaining popularity in the island. This is a sign that shows that Level 4 haswhat it takes to become a musical icon.
