I'm developing a TV reality show called Bikini Supermodels and promoting the sick ass Energy Drink called "Verve". I have a model management, charity events, PR, media and direct response company.

A native of the Pacific Islands, Mr. Laguda started his career in San Diego, CA in 1982 as Circulation Director of Tuned-In Magazine, a TV Guide-type magazine that enjoyed heavy circulation and wide readership throughout San Diego County. He left the magazine to start his own medical supply company in 1984, building it through 1988, when he negotiated its lucrative sale to a much larger, NASDAQ-listed firm Longport Medical.
Mr. Laguda continued to excel at every undertaking. He became deeply involved in community services in the San Diego area, receiving a commendation from The Honorable Maureen O’Conner, Mayor of San Diego, for his work with San Diego Youth at Risk, a nonprofit organization attempting to address the needs of “at risk†students. It was also during this period that Mr. Laguda honed his skills in the martial arts, ultimately winning first place in the Japanese Karate Organization’s national martial arts competition.
In 1991, Mr. Laguda joined World Class Network, a travel company that marketed its products through direct sales and he rapidly advanced to the National Marketing Director position. In 1993, he was recruited away by TravelMax International, another travel-related direct sales company. While there, he built an organization that put him in the top 10 among over 100,000 distributors and earned him the position of “Presidential Circle Advisor.†He was also one of only three people at TravelMax to win the coveted “Commitment to Excellence†award.
From 1995 to 1997, Mr. Laguda’s expertise as a consultant was sought after by a number of companies in the direct sales industry, including NutriQuest and Future Vision. But it was his consulting work with the principal distributor of Metabolife that triggered his commitment to weight loss products. When he started advising the distributor, the operations consisted of one retail store and a phone center with a combined volume of less than $100,000 a month. Over the next seven months, utilizing Mr. Laguda’s site selection in Phoenix and broadcast advisory services, the distributor opened eight additional Metabolife mall stores and vastly expanded his radio-advertising program, while increasing monthly sales to $1.2 million dollars. One of the keys to this increase in volume of sales was high-impact radio advertising as designed by Mr. Laguda and its ability to drive customers to purchase, either through a phone center or a visit to a mall location.
In 1998, Fernando began the process of putting together his own Metabolife organization, opening nine retail stores in Nevada, Ohio, and Kentucky. The stores collectively yielded $2.5 million in sales during the first twelve months of operation. His teamwork principles, duplicatable system and aggressive radio campaign helped Metabolife grow from $600,000 to over 1 billion dollars in annual sales in just 4 years. He subsequently sold his interest in these stores during 1999 to his ex-wife and a business partner to pursue an improved business plan from the Metabolife model.
Mr. Laguda was successful in consulting and marketing with several direct sales companies. In connection with this activity, he built a business model to enable distributors to directly control the targeting of their local advertising, resulting in better retail price points and profit margins.
Mr. Laguda held the position of National Sales Director for Boo Koo and Pure Power energy drink, making it one of the fastest growing energy beverages in the nation. Fernando set up distribution channels nationwide capturing the # 5 spot in sales volume in the southwest 7-11 convenience store chains. The DSD distribution was set up nationally and he acquired C-store accounts from coast to coast. Mr. Laguda executed the Pure Power and Boo Koo on premise promotions at the hottest night clubs and hotspots in Texas.
Initially starting the promotions opportunity as a hobby in 1999, Fernando started promoting and emceeing Hawaiian Tropic Model search competition. Leveraging his experience in radio promotions and copy writing, he quickly found success in the Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth etc… markets. With this success and alliance with Hawaiian Tropic, Fernando managed responsibilities that included sourcing venues, recruiting models, negotiating contracts, developing radio spots to increase awareness. He championed joint marketing opportunities to brands seeking to increase awareness and broaden their market to reach not only the models, but also the demographics at specialized venues. Mr. Laguda recognized that the perceived demographic of young white male, while a good percent of business, changed depending on venue and on-premise promotion. Fernando expanded the Hawaiian Tropic venues to include the African American and Asian Market and expanded the age demographic as well as incorporated venues to include women. He has held over two hundred and fifty bikini contests including the Super Bowl Hawaiian Tropic, provide models for the Maxim Magazine Super Bowl Party and helped manage an 18,000 person, three day event with fifty two rock bands at the North Texas Rock Rally. Included in his venues are Manhattans, Time Square, Lone Star Park Racetrack, Dukes, Sam’s Boat Dallas and Houston, El Vulcan, Fire Water Bar & Grill, Reservoir, Collin Park Marina, Highport Marina, Vain Lounge and Pompanos club.
Most recently, Mr. Laguda is the Executive Producer of Bikini Supermodels. In his free time he enjoys fishing, speedboats, dancing and traveling.
