About Me

Botanicals from Wise Weeds
Celebrating Our 15th Anniversary in 2007!
Handblended mystic incense, oils, herbal products, jewelry, crystals and more. www.wiseweeds.net

I am certified as a medicinal herbalist (Western herbalism, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Cherokee medicine...Herbal Therapeutics School of Botanical Medicine), as a transpersonal hypnotherapist and as a Reiki practitioner (Usui lineage).

Passionate. Intense. Billy Joel's song, "I Go to Extremes" is very descriptive of me. I'm loyal. To a fault. BIG FAULT. Did I say passionate and intense? Bright, intelligent, sarcastic, cynical, optimistic. Sexy. But not in a fashion model way...

My Interests

..alternative health, aromatherapy, co-creative gardening, cooking, crystal healing, environmentalism, environmental responsibility, gardening, health, herbs, herbalism, hiking, hoodoo, hypnotherapy, intuition, jewelry making, kabbalah, laughing, margaritas, meade, medicinal herbs, meditation, mediumship, metaphysics, music, occult, pagan, psychic, Quabbalah, reading, remote viewing, science fiction, sex, spiritualism, stand up comedy, tarot, tarot reading, voodoo, walking, wicca, wine, witch, witchcraft, wildcrafting, and lots of other stuff....

I'd like to meet:

Fellow herbalists, gardeners, people interested in alternative healing, people interested in learning more about herbs and aromatherapy. Just a lot of different folks.Folks who like a variety of music (but with country on the bottom of the heap! ;*)

Folks interested in science fiction like the NEW Battlestar Galactica series. Or the latest Dr. Who. Or The Dresden Files.

People who like comedy...who "get" Carlos Mencia. If you can't take a joke or laugh at yourself, forget about it! If you're a dee,dee,dee...forget about it! If you don't know what a dee, dee, dee is, find out, OR, you guessed it...forget about it!

People who live outside the box instead of trying to fit everyone inside it. I have friends of all races, creeds and sexual orientations. If you think yours is the ONLY religion for the world...forget about it!

Who are discerning, discriminating and delightful. If you believe everything that some online "spiritually based" groups, schools or organizations tell you, and that they "must be nice people" without ever dealing with them in person for more than a day or two....forget about it! Chew on a couple of willow trees and don't call me in the morning!

If you didn't understand the reference to willow trees...forget about it!

People who love to dance. And don't care whether or not I am a "perfect" dancer. People more interested in having fun than worrying about what other folks might think!

Do you like dark beer, oat meal stout and good wine? Cool. If your idea of a good drink is malt liquor or bud....forget about it!

Like movies? Great. Slasher films...we'll have to disagree about those!!!

Music:

Anna Nalick, Annie Lennox, The Beatles, Blondie, Blue October, The Cars, Dar Williams, Eurythmics, Evanescense, Nine Inch Nails, Genesis, Indigo Girls, Kelly Clarkson, KT Tunstall, Concrete Blonde, Ani DiFranco, Joe Cocker, The Moody Blues, Sting, Talking Heads, Tina Turner, Tracey Chapman, Pink, Pink Floyd,David Bowie, Madonna, Michelle Branch, Gwen Stefani, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Staind, The Waitresses, The Who

I hope this music selection amuses and amazes you. Some of it makes me cry. Some of it makes me laugh. Some of it is venting. Mostly it's just a hint of what I like. Listen to most of the words, not just the music.

Believe it or not, I did NOT know Kelly Clarkson was the original American Idol. I just kept hearing these songs that really struck home, and it seemed like almost every one was by her. In fact, 2007 was the first year I even bothered to watch SOME of the idol shows as I was more curious than anything else.

Dar Williams' song, "The Christians and the Pagans" totally blows me away every time I listen to it. Finding faith and common ground the best that they were able. Where does magic come from? I think the magic's in the learning. For now when Christians sit with Pagans, only pumpkin pies are burning.

Movies:

All That Jazz, The Assassination Bureau, Bladerunner, Bruce Almighty, Cabaret, Chicago, Die Another Day, The Fifth Element, Ghost Rider, Harry Potter, The Last Mimzy, Live and Let Die, To Kill a Mocking Bird, 12 Monkeys, It's a Wonderful Life, Secretary, Lord of the Rings, Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood, Ratatouille, Young Frankenstein, Wicker Man (the original one) Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Witness
