About Me

I am a graduating senior at Barnard College and am an Anthropology major with a personal concentration on Latino(specifically Puerto Rican) Studies. My research interests include the many radical groups of the Civil Rights Era with particular emphasis on the Young Lords Party, the struggle for Puerto Rican independence, and revolutionary politics in general. My favorite topics of discussion and debate involve neo-colonialism and cultural imperialism. I intend to pursue a PhD in Anthropology and hope to, one day, write a history book on the role of Puerto Ricans in the United States entitled, "In the Belly of the Beast."
