BLACK FRIDAY was formed in October 2005. The musicians, chemistry, and brotherhood make up that perfect combination that is BLACK FRIDAY. BLACK FRIDAY is truely a kick ass, southern metal band. If you like the southern sound of bands like Lynard Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Allman Brothers, and / or like heavier music like AC/DC, Pantera, Black Sabbath mixed in with a some new rock then you definately need to come check us out. We try to hit a little somethin' for everybody. We take our southern roots, then kick you in the mouth with that metal edge. BLACK FRIDAY has been featured in Magazines such as, U.S. Rider New and the August 2006 issue of Biker 2000.
Front man, Booger, is the Lover of the Band. To describe him a little, its like Ronnie Van Zant, with a little dash of Ozzy, and a spoonful of James Hatfield. He comes from bands such as; Railway, Gypsy Blue, and Rockin Horse. His influences are Lynyrd Skynyrd, DIO, Ozzy, and George Jones.
Bass Player, Jason Cosper, looks like Jesus with tattoos, and plays like Gezzer Butler. He comes from bands such as; Tres Diablos and Meat Hook. His influences are Black Sabbath, Zakk Wyld, and Pantera.
Guitar player, Randy Price has been playing guitar since birth and comes from bands like Gin, Torn Lace, and Chastity Rose. He has opened up for White Zombie, Motley Crue, Faster Pussycat, Poison, Warrant and has played in 12 Countries and all 50 States.
Guitar Player, Chris Mills has been playing guitar since he was 7 and comes from bands like Eve's End, 40 Watt Budda and Mynd's Eye. His influences are Dimebag, Zakk Wylde, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jerry Cantrell and Mikey Maxwell.
Drummer, Keith Sheppard / Hotrod - The Man of Thunder, is the monster force driving the band from behind the kit. He has been playing since birth and has played with too many bands to remember. His influences are John Bonham, Neil Peart, Bill Ward, Tommy Aldridge and Buddy Rich
We have alot of energy and love what we do, and that is the chemistry that makes up the ass kicking southern metal band Black Friday. Our style of music revolves around our southern rock roots. You will have a great time at our shows, whether you are a college student, biker, skater or just simply love Rock N' Roll we always play something for everyone!
