QUR'ENCY Entertainment (pronounced currency)MISSION STATEMENT:"To provide our community as well as surrounding communities with quality entertainment, whether it be music, live performances, dj services, or retail ready cd's. To stand strong as a united front and as a link to the Midwest Hip Hop Movement. This is our mission, let it be written, and LET IT BE DONE!"ESTABLISHED:Qur'ency Ent. was established in 2002, based out of Fremont, OH! Qur'ency was put together by cousins Kenny "Eclypse" Morrisette Jr., of Fremont, OH, and Mike "DJ BIGG MYKE" Thomas, of Fremont, OH. Since 2000 we have came a long way, dropping a series of mix tapes: Definition of a Mix Tape Vol. I, II, III, Spring Jump off Mix Tape Vol. I, Summer Jam Mix Tape Vol. I, and the 19 track Qur'ency Ent. Demo. We also have dropped a couple of DVD's that include slide shows, and some of our hottest live performances.QUR'ENCY MAKIN MOVES:There is a lot of Hip Hop talent across the Midwest, as well as in the 419 area code, but Qur'ency Ent. is among the elite hip hop companies in Ohio. We have networked, and worked with Cris Siege Productions (Toledo, OH), 71 North Boy Big Mucci (Cleveland, OH), Gotta Husle Ent. (Youngstown, OH), DJ Kausion (Toledo, OH), Threesum (Atlanta, GA), as well as many other of Ohio's top Hip Hop labels! We also put on some of the hottest shows in the state at the Underground Club in Sandusky, OH. The first big bash was the 2007 Spring Jump Off, featuring 7 of the hottest artist around Ohio, as well as the 2007 Summer Jam, with Haterproof Ent., Go Getta Ent., Gotta Husle Ent. and Prophet from Toledo, OH!WHAT TO EXPECT:Qur'ency just dropped their first full compilation cd called "Fremont's Finest" that is in stores now, along with a free dvd of the Turn It Up Remix Video. The first solo projects are in the works, Young N.A.K. solo debut "Young Royalty" will drop early 08', as well as Eclypse the Don's solo debut "Apology Letter". Also be on the look out for the "Dukes Boyz Fam" Mixtape, hosted by Eclypse the Don, as well as a video we plan to shoot early October for the compilation! We are in works with the Quties clothing line, and Eclypse's Film Company, and a long list of other projects in the works. We also put together promotional packages for other local artist, and we do cd duplication. Qur'ency Ent. plans to stay persistant as well as on top of our game, for the overall plan to become a partner label and gain national distribution and national recognition.
