I am here for Friends

About Me

I DELETE AND REPORT SPAMMERS WITHOUT EXCEPTION!!! The Myspace team seems to be pretty receptive to complaints as 90% of the people I report end up deleted within two days. I have a lot of free time to do this so don't be a fool and take your unethical business practices elsewhere. I like Screeching Weasel: Hi, I'm Lance. I am your typical space cadet. I am also a complete spazz so I don't get along so well with folks who expect people to behave a certain way. I love people who make me feel less quirky in comparison. Mind you that is a daunting task. Nowadays I mostly just study, draw, or waste time on my computer. I used to live to go out and get completely fershnickered but alas I am mellowing out in my old age. Oh, and I'm very quiet and rarely speak unless spoken to... but then you might have a hard time shutting me up. You have been warned :)

My Interests

The usual things but particularly:Urban, suburban, and counter culture. Philosophy, music, and most anything artistic. I like to try out new recipes. Cooking is fun. I'm up for trading/sharing. Lips, hips, and fingertips.

I'd like to meet:

Someone who's game to entertain my absent mind. I don't get along so well with serious people. If you want someone to fight with you've come to the wrong place. No idea is that important to me. Ghandi would probably consider me too passive. I am thrilled by those who go out of their way to make a mockery of themselves and the self righteous...tr

Music:

Right about now I'm usually listening to: Pedro the Lion, Grandaddy, F.Y.P, Death Cab for Cutie, old A.F.I., The Queers, Screeching Weasel, Gray Matter, and a bit o the Pixies. I'll give anything a try besides newer country or pop-gangsta-radio-rap. For some as of yet unknown reason I am in love with the theremin.

Movies:

Shallow Grave, Trainspotting, Requiem for a Dream, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Momento, Half Baked, Friday, Lost Boys, Goonies, Monster Squad("wolfman's got nards!!!"), Stand by Me, Labyrinth, Explorers, PeeWee's Big Adventure, Cowboy Bebop, The Photographer, all the Evil Dead movies, ummm... all Terentino, any Burton, Freeway, Highway, Kids, Suburbia(the first one), I liked Snatch but Lock Stock and Two Smoking barrels was awesome, Drugstore Cowboy, Orgasmo, Cannibal the Musical, Tromeo and Juliet, Doom Generation, Titus(Shakespeare not the horrid sitcom), 1984, American Psycho, Full Metal Jacket(Kubrick rawks...), A Clockwork Orange(...oh yes...), The Shining(...he does), Donnie Darko, Brain Candy, Brain Candy, and more Brain Candy....ummm..errr... hmmm... I could probably fill a tome but I'm a bit of an amnesiac now and again.

Television:

I'm not completely conviced television isn't the devil... but I like Futurama, Family Guy, older Simpsons, Six Feet Under, Get Smart, b & w Twilight Zone, Invader Zim, The Wonder Years, Johnny Carson.

Books:

I am not a huge reader but I enjoy an occasional existential work. Some notable ones are:Animal Farm, The Devil's Dictionary, Thus Spake Zarathustra, Memnoch the Devil, Crime & Punishment, Fight Club

Heroes:

I dunno if i would call them heroes, but I have much respect for Banksy, Dali(the artist not the llama), and Roosevelt (Teddy moreso than Franky). Orwell is my god at the moment.

Spoon Fed to the Tasteless

I was watching some old music videos on YouTube when I came across one from the Smiths called Panic.  It ends with the phrase "hang the dj because the musc they play says nothing to me about my l...

Constant Criticism & "Honest" People

Of a Normal Life
