Funk-Fx are Liam Smyth and Byron Askham. Two djs who after playing at many events individually on the South Coast, decided in Jan 2006 to form a partnership and become Funk-Fx.
After forming, Funk-Fx soon gained a couple of residencies and played at many events in the South. Gigs further afield soon followed, with some of the England..s top clubs included, such as Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Turnmills and The Fridge
In February 2007, they were offered a weekly slot on internet radio station: www.unknownsouth.com. They saw this as a great opportunity to broadcast to a global audience, so they gladfully accepted the offer. The now named Funkdeluxe Show goes out every Saturday 6-8pm.
Their style is all about pushing the boundaries as much as possible during their sets. Always playing the freshest House music, and making good use of Acapellas, FX and Loops.
The energy and enthusiasm is always evident during their sets, and it..s their passion for music that keeps them pushing forward.
