Street Team is DEAD! plus official single release!
Sup party people???
Some of you might have noticed that we no longer have our Street Team up and running anymore. We decided to kill the Street Team for the time being so we can concentrate on writing our new material, playing shows and running this myspace. We were getting an overwhelming response from people wanting to join but was getting too hard to update.
I just want to personally thank everyone who contributed to missions and promoted Girl Vs Ghost religiously, The Street Team will be back in the near future when we find someone to run it. Until then we'll be solely concentrating on this myspace and replying to comments, messages, etc.
As you can already see on the top of our myspace we're going to be releasing our City, Meet Hurricane single on the 31st of July. So make sure you come back and check our space for some sweet surprises.
That's all I can really think of for now, ummmm.... i'm off to Bendigo for sound check.

Single Release
Ok, so we're in the process of getting our 'City, Meet Hurricane' single printed! I'm guessing within the next week we'll have the singles available and for sale. The CD quality is muuuuuch better than the myspace quality, so make sure you get yourself a copy!
You'll be able to buy the single anywhere in the world, but more details on the release, what songs will be on it, artwork and release date will be shown later this week.

We've just hooked up 2 acoustic instore shows with one of the most friendliest bands Guns For Glory. We'll be playing these 2 all ages shows in August and we'd love to see everyone there!

Thanks to everyone who has left us feedback on our myspace in regards to our new songs. We're stoked that everyone seems to be liking the sound with Jas in the band. He's a good kid.
We've been practicing quite a lot and writing a lot of new material. October is looking to be an amazing month for us, but that's all i'll say for now...haha.

New song & single!!
Heyyyy! So we finally have two brand new songs up on the page for you guys to listen to: City, Meet Hurricane and Skeletons! We're more proud of these songs than we've ever been before and we're mega (!!!) excited to share them with you. The two songs (plus a bonus song 'Rain') will be released on a special limited edition single in the very near future, so if you're freaking out about not being able to download the tracks you should totally chill because we'll be selling them at shows - complete with pretty artwork - very very soon!

Girl Vs Ghost don't waste time getting things done; the band formed in September 2006, they recorded their first demo two weeks later, played their first two shows a week after that, and recorded their self-funded debut EP just three months after forming. And they haven't looked back since, with constantly booking their own shows throughout the country, having multiple success with Triple J's Unearthed Competition (with two of their songs debuting on the charts at number 1 for several weeks, and even scoring Triple J airplay with their song 'Rain'), winning awards for the 2007 Kool Skools awards night (including 'Best Pop/Rock Song' and 'Best Rock/Rock Alternative Band'), appearing in several magazines and street presses (including a shoot for Melbourne's MX Magazine), and playing and appearing live on both radio (Triple J & Triple R in Melbourne, 103.1 power FM in Ballarat plus many more) and television (Channel 31 SYN TV, and their song 'Wait For Me Tokyo' appeared on a local television ad). The band have also recorded numerous new songs during the two years since they formed, and ever since their debut EP sold out forever they have plans to record their debut album in the very near future.
Girl Vs Ghost have since gained a reputation for putting on high energy, explosive live shows in as many places as they possibly can and have earned themselves an ever-growing loyal fanbase. With plans to tour in late 2008, this is one band you should definitely not miss out on seeing!
