Johnny “Burst†Cervin
Popping
- Get Your Own
Born in Gardena, California, Burst was raised in the Los Angeles and Long Beach area. Burst started dancing in the 8th grade as a hobby and didn’t realize his true talent until high school at Alhambra High School. Acquiring his skills from the streets, Burst first wanted to become a “break dancer†and soon realized that break dancing was not what he wanted to do. He later met Joe Ramos whom introduced him to “popping†and taught him basic skills. After graduating in 1999, Burst’s hobby became his profession, where he booked his first job in a Sprite commercial. From there, Burst has made many television appearances working with McDonald’s, The Best Sports Show Period, Dance Fever, The Today Show, and The Other Half. Burst is best known for the Levi’s Crazy Legs commercial which aired during the 2002 Super Bowl Game. Ever since we saw those crazy legs, Burst has been poppin’ on TV, music videos, movies, dance competitions, and street shows. Burst is very thankful for the talent that God has given him and the support from his family and friends. He can’t wait for all the exciting opportunities that are ahead of him.
CJ Edwards
Hip Hop
- Get Your Own
CJ Edwards has been dancing since before he could walk, but never wanted to make a career of it until his freshman year and dancing with a group called B.S.U. (Black Student Union) and from there, it became the only thing he thought about. CJ later went on to teach and choreograph for his high school dance team and local cheer dance groups and found Team Millennia at Cal State Fullerton when searching for colleges. From there his passion for dance grew and he knew there was more out there for him. He took the first step to get an agent and was signed to Bloc Agency in May of 2005. After dancing with TM, CJ went on to Mavyn Entertainment for 6 months, and later moved to where he currently met his match with BREED…Team Boogiezone.com. Since then CJ has showcased his choreography in the most famous Carnival, CPAC, and SI showcases. Just recently, he has appeared in the Omarion “Entourage†music video. He currently choreographs for many local teams such as Chaotic 3, Breed, Groovaholix, Common Ground, TM Jrs, SI, and many other dance groups in Southern California. CJ is also in the midst of trying to put together a demo album. He believes if he puts all that he has into all that he does only good things are to come….â€Follow your heart, and stay oblivious to life and all it has to offer, don’t expect for tomorrow when you haven’t finished living for today.â€
