About Me

Nietzsche once said "Without music life would be a mistake." For nearly three years, Dying Breed has embodied that truth, living it out. Now, with several new original songs displaying both our dedication to our instruments and to music itself , Dying Breed is poised to break out onto the scene and live that mantra to the fullest extent. Dying Breed, as a name, symbolizes everything that the background culture of the band represents. There are a precious few people out in the world who think along our lines, and through our music we hope to remind everyone that MTV isn't always right. We are, in essence, a Dying Breed, metal in general is looked down upon by those "loyal" to other musical genres.

Influences: Our rhythm section is remeniscient of swedish bands Arch Enemy, Soilwork, In Flames, Darkane, etc... mixed with American metal bands: Between the Buried and Me, The Black Dahlia Murder, God Forbid, Lamb of God, Trivium, and a little Dream Theater, just to name a few.

Vocally we pull influences from Himsa, Mike Patton, Fear Factory, Killswitch Engage, Lacuna Coil, and plenty more...
Sounds Like: Would be best described as melodic metalcore...Enhanced by the presence of male and female vocalists, dual guitar harmonies, and hardcore breakdowns, this particular breed of music is unique in that each song can convey more than one emotion, sometimes simultaneously. Beyond the anger of typical metal bands, and beyond the love-based themes that accompany bands with a female singer, Dying Breed takes advantage of the diversity in age, gender, and different personal styles of each member to create music ahead of it's time.
