Hmm... Interests?? My son, my family, my friends, summer time, stilettos, mini skirts, huge earrings, dancing, music, thunder storms, nails, tanning, reading, driving, thrill rides, para-jumping, beaches, laughing, wave runners, bar hopping, relaxing, napping.... I could go on forever!
I'm very diverse, I love oldies, classics, freestyle... Keith Sweat, Lauryn Hill, Cinderella, Def Leppard, White Snake, Guns & Roses & Aerosmith. I own every Tupac CD ever made, Maxwell, Lionel Richie, Atlantic Starr, The Ohio Players and I love the songs Ike & Tina did. (Well really it was Tina, but I guess Ike's scrubby ass helped a bit) Sweet Sensation, Expose, Lisa Lisa, Remy Ma, Tina Marie, Stacey Q, Soul Child, Too Short, Fabolous, Jada Kiss, R Kelly, Jagged Edge, Raphael Saadiq, Fantasia, Keyshia Cole, Blackstreet, Jodeci, Kanye West, Luda, Snoop, Three Six Mafia, Eric Benet, Silk, 112, Dru HIll, Mary J, India Arie, Jay-Z, Nas, Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Wonder, Tevin Campbell, Sarah McLaughlin, Ruff Riderz, DMX, Big Pun, Trina, Faith Evans, Lil Kim, Eazy E, Ruff Endz, Lenny Williams, Samantha Foxx, Fantasia, I could go on forever....... I can deal with country if I have no other choice, but if I wanted to hear about peoples problems or why their husbands left them for the tramp down the road, I'm sure I could find a friend to call.
Dirty Dancing! (I'll always love it) The Sweetest Thing, Thelma & Louise, Everafter,Godfathers 1 & 2, Blood In Blood Out, American Me, Colors, South Central, Goodfellas, Boyz In The Hood & Menace II Society. I like scary movies but now days they are just not the same. Saw was good, Halloween still makes me sleep with the blanket over my head, just the song scares me. Hotel Rawanda was excellent, if that movie didn't make you grateful for what you have then I have no respect for you. That movie opened my eyes to something I had no clue existed. I love movies that are based on true stories and movies that help you to grow as a person. Blood Diamond, all the Rockys, Pretty Woman... I could go on forever! If I had to choose one favorite it would most definatly be Love & Basketball...
If you know me, then you know not to call between 8-9 p.m. on Sunday cause I will not answer the phone nor the door while Desperate Housewives is on. I have never missed an episode! The Girls Next Door, Beverly Hills 90210 (All the re-runs are on Soap Net)Sex & the City!! I'm a General Hospital addict!! Thank God for Soap Net!
I'm an avid reader, for those of you that say "Does Cosmo count?" NO... IT DOESN'T! :-) I have read almost every V.C. Andrews series. Dean Kootz & James Patterson are good. Wicked was a great book, I read Gone with the Wind & Scarlett back to back in 8 days and was so disapointed when I rented Scarlett and sat for 6 hours and the movie was terrible. (The books are always better) Running With Scissors was odd but, it still kept my attention.
My grandmother will forever be my hero, she taught me to treat others the way I wanted to be treated. If people are nasty, FUCK EM' they'll screw themselves in the end! She was an amazing woman who impacted my life in ways she'll never know.
My Pumpkin is my hero... he's been through so much hurt and pain but, still manages to smile everyday.
