Anything by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, 100 Years of Solitude,Love in the Time of Cholera, If you are just getting into Marquez I would highly recommend Collected Stories by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Isabelle Allende The House of Spirits(not the movie the book!), Jorge Luis Borges Labyrinths, A Light in the Attic, Where The Sidewalk Ends and anything else Shel Silverstien has ever written! Especially the poems "The Toad and the Kangaroo" and "Nobody". Above all others We Wish to Inform You That Tomorrow We Will be Killed With Our Families: Stories from Rwanda by Philip Gourevitch
All of the women in my family because they have shown me what it means to be strong especially my mother because she has taught me from the beginning that I am a citizen of the world and injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. She's still an activist to this day. I hope I'm just like her in my old age :). My Husband because he does everything he can to make our family work. He loves his children, and he is an active participant in our life together. He's flexible, patient, imaginative, ambitious, intelligent, funny, fun, spontaneous and practical and that's a tough combination. I consider myself very lucky!!! Last but not least my children because they taught me how to love unconditionally.
