Mitsuto Suzuki -鈴木光人-
In 1994 his very first EP under the name of ARP 2600 on Fumiya
Tanaka's legenday record label 'Torema' was enthusiastically
supported by early Japanese techno audience. After the sensational
start of his musical career he continued to create important electronic
tracks including the one which was selected to the first compilation
album on Daisy World label founded by Haruomi Hosono from YMO
in 1997, after he was awarded 'Ecole de Hosono'. In the same year
he formed the band Overrocket with other two members, and hit the
club charts with the 80's sound design of electronic pop, not only in
Japanese magazines but in ones in the UK. The unique approaches
of Mitsuto’s in non dance music field has been supported strongly
by many audience as well, on the project such as 'Gynnopedie '99'
in which he re-constructed the works of Erik Satie using his own
electronic music manners.
