DJ JURI is a shooting star female DJ & music producer, who has created a new type of dance music with a powerful weapon - “Taiko DUB” – her own original music genre with tribal and percussive sounds structured with Japanese Taiko drum beats.Since DJ Juri released “DJ JURI/TAIKO DUB EP” from Flower Records in 2005, she has continued to release popular sounds, including hit tracks like TAIKOON, Syamisen & No Utage. TAIKO DUB has become the “most-talked-about new genre in the music industry” after a series of her mini albums “TAIKO DUB EP 1, 2 & 3” were all chosen as NO 1 hits in the HOUSE music category for CISCO sales charts in JapanIn 2007, she achieved a nationwide release of her first TAIKO DUB MIX CD – Tribal Trip - from Flower Records in Japan. It contains 4 original tracks composed by herself, including a video clip of her new track Savanna Trip, in which she visually expresses her world of TAIKO DUB by directing the video clip herself.In March 2007, her tracks started to be distributed through a mobile phone music service called “Cool Sounds”. The quality of her tracks are widely recognised and her new album was selected to be included in “i tune”. All tracks on the album and the video clip can be purchased through the i tune store online. The mobile ring song service “Platinum Melodies” also starts distributing her tracks soon.In addition to her DJ activities, she has expanded her music involvement by performing as a Taiko player with another Taiko drum percussionist Together with Miho she constructed a female Taiko Drum duo called “Kunoichi” in 2006. Composing house music with techno sounds while beating real traditional Japanese Taiko drums, she creates a quite unique world of powerful and authentic Japanese dance music.The first national tour was conducted in 2001, followed by international tours to Bangkok in 2002 and to Singapore in 2003. In 2005 she composed the theme music for the opening & closing commercials for the baseball program “J-Sports Stadium” for Sky Perfect Cable TV channel. Other music she has composed includes: the opening music for a TV program for the Manchester United football match when they visited Japan, music for a Dance DVD called “Street Dance, New School Life Style” which was produced for EJOE, BOBBOY & CEBO who are also back dancers for Maria Cary, and two tracks jointly with Marimba player SHINSUKE – Sony Records.DJ Juri is not only a musician, she is also an event organiser for Dance events, including “Power Hose” & “House Night” in Tokyo, and is a producer of “marula”. Her own events “Taiko Dub Night” are organised at major clubs in Japan like Ageha in Shinkiba, and NUTS in Shibuya. She also co-ordinates artists for promotional video productions and various types of dance and music events. Her multi-talent goes beyond the music industry, to designing her own casual clothes labels.

また、特典としてついてくるDVDには、この作 品に収録の新曲[SAVANNA TRIP]のVIDEO CLIPが収録されており、このVIDEO CLIPã®ç›£ç£ã‚‚è‡ªã‚‰æ‰‹æŽ›ã‘ã€è‡ªåˆ†ã®ä½œå“ã®ä¸–ç•Œè¦ ³ã‚’更に鮮やかに描き出している。
同年3月上旬より携帯着メロ[COOL SOUND]着メロ、着うたフル、ビデオクリップ配 信開 始。
同月中旬、i tunesよりオリジナル全楽曲配信開始。
同年4月中旬より、同じくi tunesよりSAVANNA TRIPのVIDEO CLIP配信開始。

2001年全国ツアー、2002年タイ、2003年シンガポ ールで海外ツアーを行う。

2005å¹´3月26日よりプロ野球試合1ã‚·ãƒ¼ã‚ºãƒ³ä¸­æ”¾é €ã®sky perfect TV[J-SPORTS STADIUM野球好き]のオープニング曲,エンディン グ曲,CM曲を製作。太鼓 DUBに野球の SEを混ぜた楽曲が話題を呼んでいる。
2005å¹´7/9放送sky perfect TV [J-SPORTS]サッカーのマンチェスターユナイテムƒãƒ‰æ¥ 日試合特番のオープニング曲を製作。
マライヤキャリー等のバックダンサーでも有 名なエリートフォースの EJOE,BOBBY,CEBOのDANCE DV[STREET DANCE,New School Life Style]に楽曲提供。
SONY RECORDS所属のマリンバ演奏者、SINSKEのアルバム ã«Shingo.s(813)との共作の2曲を提供。

DJ JURI’s collaboration project with Australian Embassy in Japan Music ambassador DJ JURI - New Track 「[email protected]」
The fast wave piercing catamaran built by Tasmanian INCAT company using the world’s highest ship building technology, was purchased by East Japan Ferry company Ltd --http://www.higashinihon-ferry.com/--for the route between Aomori & Hakodate in Northern Japan. On the 30th June 2007 the ship was named “Natchan Rera”, at the launch ceremony in Hobart Tasmania. In September this year, when service is due to begin the Natchan Rera will only take 1h 45min the complete the current 3 hour journey, which will be the start in a new era for the Aomori – Hokkaido Japan ferry route
This project has been fully supported by the Australian Embassy in Tokyo in bringing together Tasmania, Australia and Hokkaido, Japan, for the smooth transition of trade and cultural exchange in music between the two cities and countries.
The bringing together of this partnership and cultural exchange in music to Japan is a very novel and quite unconventional project, which is very much in line with DJ Juri’s unique and creative style of music activity.
Stepping out of the square of standard house music, music producer DJ Juri uses her talent in her latest track to create the atmosphere of being in Tasmania, While in Tasmania she felt a closeness to nature, the stars and the Milky Way. She collected the sounds of animals and nature which she mixed together to describe her experience of Tasmania through music
DJ Juri has also made a music video capturing the mysterious world of Tasmania in pictures as she sees it, with great rhythmic beats of strong & powerful music, it is the latest progression in Taiko Dub. As this work of art is full of the essence of Tasmania, we expect this music video will be a new & fantastic tool to promote Tasmania to all ages.
On 23 August DJ Juri will be the music ambassador at the Ceremony by INCAT and East Japan Ferry Co Ltd at Hakodate in Japan and will introduce her new song and music video [email protected]. This will be the INCAT version for the ceremony. The following day she will be performing live at the event as “Kunoichi” which is a DJ & Japanese Taiko drum unit formed by DJ Juri.
