Influences: Well there are so many! My favourite musicians I listen to a lot are Don and Dave Grusin, I love there approach to the piano and music in General.In my CD player at the moment is "Hiromi" a Japanese Nu Jazzy styled artist, shes a virtuso at the keyboard and you should really check her out if you like the genre.I love stuff like Azymuth and Jeff Lorber and all the Electronica that has come out of that.Other Influences are:Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Daft Punk, Ennio Moriconne, Yellow Jackets (Russell Ferrante especially), Michel Camilo, Jaco Pastorius, Dave Weckl, Jay Oliver, George Duke, Richard Tee, Steve Gadd, Michael Brecker (such a shame to have lost this incredible musician), Bobby Lyle, Rodney Franklin, etc etc!Not to mention my local heros Max Turnbull, Viv Rodd, Hamish Balfour, Ian Navran, Luke Stone, Al Swainger, Jay from the Angel Jam Nights, George Cooper, Kazuma, Nigel Daniels for his great ears and ideas. And all the new musicians I am meeting here in Japan. Also my girlfriend Erika who is a constant source of love and inspiration for my music (dont give up on the guitar!)
Basically i like anything i think is good and innovative!
