About Me

First things first:
We want to give credit where credit is due. The music you hear on this site is not exactly The Knockouts. Yes, it's true, the material was written primarily by Ward, and we continue to perform it live, but the recordings you're hearing are actually of his former project, Po' Boy and the Red Hats. When Po' Boy was put on indefinite hiatus, Ward kept the old material alive, and we're happy to report that The Knockouts are in the process of writing some brand new stuff for your listening pleasure. Until then, we want to say thanks to the former members of Po' Boy: Shawn Crimmins (guitar and backing vocals), Luke Robinson (bass), and last but not least, Steve Gonsalves (drums). We have to add that Steve finally got his chance to be a full-time ghost hunter and is now a cast member of the super-popular (and aptly named) Sci-Fi show, "Ghost Hunters" . We're really proud of him, and suggest you check out his skills on Sci-Fi!
Keep coming back, we'll be posting more about The Knockouts soon!

Terry Ward (Vocals, Guitar)

i have wanted for a while to write my gear. i get asked alot which is a huge compliment. so for those who care, here it is. i play mostly a g&l commanche. it has z-coil pickups and a maple neck. it is incredibly versatile. it screams single coil but has a lot more low end and is hum cancelling. sticking to them i have a g&l asat semi hollow, birds eye maple neck with a burnt orange finsh. it inspires me more than all of them together. i have a standard legacy that i will hold above any fender from any year. i have one fender and it is one of the new v-neck series guitars, and will make a believer out of everyone. i have a guild bluesboy. for you that are unfamiliar it looks kinda like a paul. but it has p-90s and a tiger maple top, the inside is chambered and it is simply beautiful. last but not least is the gibson blues hawk. a strange little guitar with two f-holes and a varatone switch.for amps its simple dr.z z28- nothing comes close. it is the best that i have played and i've played alot. back up is an ampeg rocket 15.pedals startin line with a planet waves tuner- ben turned me on to it and i'm in love. followed by a budda wah, ts-9, a full tone "full drive 2" a budda phat man, and a budda zen master. last but not least a line 6 verbzilla. the dr z does not have a reverb tank. thanx terry
