About Me

Based in London from 1998 to 2006 DJ T-AK aka Takashi Okazaki, was the first producer to organise a Drum n Bass event at the East End’s Herbal niteclub (now home to Hospitality, Grace and others). The Hexion night was billed as smooth to the dark. Likewise DJ T-AK gained a reputation for the quick-fire collages of DnB styles within his mix sets. The start of several careers, Hexion continued until 2004. By this time T-AK had moved into production, and begun an association with Hospital Records. In February 2007 he was the lead artist on The Future Sound of Tokyo compilation EP and CD, released on Hospital. Selected as IDJ Magazine’s top DnB tune for April, The Future Sound of Tokyo, featured collaborations between T-AK and artists such as Makoto, Akira, Pentagon and Ellie. It was ranked in the dance music DL beatport chart, and played by DJs from across the scene. With a mix-set recently featuring on Kiss 101 in the UK, T-AK is currently concentrating on DJing and production from his base in Tokyo. He recently appeared at Hospital Records events in Tokyo and London, and has plans to appear again here, there and around the world! To bring the world to Japanese DnB, and Japanese DnB to the world!
