mjuc - pronounced ‘myook’- is the solo project of Tokyo-based musician and composer Hideaki Takahashi. Delicate,yetpeppered with violence, elaborateand intricate, though boldly expressive, theunique tension of mjuc's music comes from the conflictingelements within each of the tracks. mjuc's previous release monody was acclaimed internationally, in particular for its lyrical atmosphere and the depth of mood and tone. Then, mjuc has broken new ground for the 2nd album, parallel points,with a rich series of electronic sonic-structures. These audioscapes transform synthetic ‘unorganic’ sounds into an evolved and resonant ‘organic’ mix. parallel points also features collaborations with the British trumpeter Kevin G.
