芯のあるダイナミックなロック･サウンドを 爆発させる3ピース･ロック・バンド､ストム¬ã‚¤ãƒ†ãƒŠãƒ¼ï½¡ '98年にホリエアツシ（vo&g）とナカヤマシ㠃³ãƒšã‚¤ï¼ˆd）のベースレス･バンドとして始動 。渋谷、下北沢を中心にライヴ活動を敢行。 UKã‚®ã‚¿ãƒ¼ãƒ»ãƒ­ãƒƒã‚¯ã‚„ãƒ‘ãƒ³ã‚¯ã€ã‚ªãƒ«ã‚¿ãƒŠãªã©ã®é Ÿ³æ¥½çš„背景を携えながら、それにとらわれな㠁„自由で疾走感に溢れたライヴが評判となり㠀'00年インディーズ･レーベルLD＆K Recordsからシングル『戦士の屍のマーチ』でム‡ãƒ“ュー。溢れ出る感情をそのままに叩くダ゠¤ãƒŠãƒŸãƒƒã‚¯ãªãƒŠã‚«ãƒ¤ãƒžã®ãƒ‰ãƒ©ãƒŸãƒ³ã‚°ã¨ã€ãƒ›ãƒªã‚ ¨ã®ç„¡é§„なMCを一切しないクールな佇まい。そ れに反する激しく肉感的な演奏と轟音の中か ら浮かび上がる美しく輝くメロディは、リス ナー以上に同世代バンドから支持を得る。
'02å¹´8月には自主レーベル｢ghost records｣を設立し、2枚のマキシ・シングル｢S ILVER RECORD｣｢Silent Film Soundtrack｣をリリースした｡そして､'03年よ゠Šæ—¥å‘秀和（b/ZAZEN BOYS）がサポート・ベースとしてライヴやレ゠³ãƒ¼ãƒ‡ã‚£ãƒ³ã‚°ã«å‚加。3ãƒ”ãƒ¼ã‚¹ãƒ»ãƒãƒ³ãƒ‰ã¨ã—ã¦é Ÿ³ã®åŽšã¿ã€ã‚°ãƒ«ãƒ¼ãƒ´ã€ãƒ‰ãƒ©ã‚¤ãƒ´æ„Ÿã™ã¹ã¦ã«ãŠã „てスケール・アップした強靭なロック･サ㠂¦ãƒ³ãƒ‰ã‚’手に入れた彼らは、同年10月に東芝EM Iよりシングル｢TRAVERING GARGOYLE｣でメジャー･デビューを果たす。'04å ¹´1月にはメジャー初のフル・アルバム『LOST WORLD'S ANTHOLOGY』をリリース。彼らの武器である抜群 のメロディ・センスと正統派のロック・サウ ンドを全面に押し出した傑作となった。その 後、同年6月にリリースされた5曲入りのミニ㠃»ã‚¢ãƒ«ãƒãƒ ã€ŽROCK END ROLL』では、インディーズ時代からの名曲「RO CK STEADY」をベース入りで新録し、3ピースならだ§ã¯ã®é‡åŽšãªã‚µã‚¦ãƒ³ãƒ‰ã§è˜‡ã‚‰ã›ãŸã€‚
自身のライヴも含め、各地で行なわれた数々 のイベントに出演することで培ってきたライ ヴ感覚を、そのままパッケージングしたかの ようなグルーヴ感溢れるシングル「KILLER TUNE」を'04å¹´12月にリリースし、新たなファン 層をガッチリとつかんだ彼らは、そのままの 勢いで'05å¹´1月にアルバム『TITLE』をリリース した｡自信に満ち溢れた作品を完成させたこ とから『TITLEã€ã¨ã‚¹ãƒˆãƒ¬ãƒ¼ãƒˆã«åä»˜ã‘ã‚‰ã‚ŒãŸä »Šä½œã§ã€ãƒªã‚¹ãƒŠãƒ¼ã¯ã‚‚ã¡ã‚ã‚“ã€æ¥­ç•Œå†…ã§ã®è©•ä ¾¡ã‚‚急上昇し、より幅広い層へとストレイテ㠃Šãƒ¼ã®åãŒçŸ¥ã‚Œæ¸¡ã£ãŸã€‚
その後も意欲的に楽曲作りやライヴに励んで いた彼らだが、'05å¹´6月にリリースしたシン゠°ãƒ«ã€ŒTHE REMAINS」でさらなる進化を見せつける。同シム³ã‚°ãƒ«ã«åŽéŒ²ã•ã‚Œã¦ã„る「DISCOGRAPHY」ではシン セサイザーを導入し、クラブ/ダンス的要素゠’ロックと融合させた新境地とも言える楽曲゠’発表。また、'06å¹´1月にリリースされた「Melo dic Strom」でもテナー節全開の表題のロック･チ㠃¥ãƒ¼ãƒ³ã«åŠ ãˆã€ã‚«ãƒƒãƒ—リングにはピアノをフ㠂£ãƒ¼ãƒãƒ£ãƒ¼ã—た楽曲「Dive」を収録するなど新 たな一面を提示した。同年3月に3枚目のアル㠃ãƒ ã¨ãªã‚‹ã€ŽDear Deadman』をリリースし、バンド史上最長とな゠‹å…¨22都市27公演の全国ツアー“Hello Dear Deadman Tourâ€ã‚’æ•¢è¡Œã€‚ã¾ãŸã€æ•°ã€…ã®å¤ãƒ•ã‚§ã‚¹ã«ã‚‚å‡ºæ¼ ”し、ライヴ・バンドとしての存在感を幅広だã‚¢ãƒ”ãƒ¼ãƒ«ã€‚ãã®æˆæžœã¨ã—ã¦ã€åŒãƒ„ã‚¢ãƒ¼ã®æ¨¡æ§ ˜ã‚’ロード・ムービー的にまとめたライヴDVD〠ŽRemember Our Drinking Songs -Hello Dear Deadman Tour 2006-』を9月にリリースした。
