1994 - PLASTIC MODE formed as a band of four piece line up that consisted of twin guitars in Osaka, Japan. They began playing at clubs in all over Japan.
1997 - Ken Matsuda, a core member of the band established his indie label "DORO-UNMEI KYODOTAI." After this, their albums come to be released by this label. Akinori Kusumoto, a graphic designer comes to design the jackets for PLASTIC MODE. He has supported not only the design but also their musical activities since then.
1998 - Their 1st album "Towa no ao" is released. "Uten kekko", the typical number of this album reached No.1 on the indie chart of local FM in Osaka, had kept No.1 for 11 weeks and they also did the live performance on the air.
1999 - Their 2nd album "MUDDY WATER & CLEAR WATER" is released. This album contains the results of all their music for five years. After completing, the first guitarist had left from the band and they had become a three piece line up.
2000 - Their 3rd album "PETERPAN SYNDROME" and maxi single "BROTHER SOUL SISTER CANDY" are released.
2002 - Their 2nd album impressed Ben Moore, ex-producer of Rocket from the Crypt and their 4th album was recorded by him at BIG FISH STUDIO in Encinitas. Later, they had played at Casbah, BRICK BY BRICK and BLIND MELONS in San Diego and at BABE'S & RICKY'S INN in Los Angeles. The 4th album "SEEDS OF SUNFLOWER" is released.
2005 - They had gone to try playing more many places to the U.S.A., had played at three clubs in Los Angeles and at CBGB in New York.
2006 - New guitarist, Tamotsu Yamazaki joined and they became a four piece line up again. They recorded their 5th album by sound engineer's Mike Kamoo at EARTHLING STUDIOS in San Diego.
2007 - PLASTIC MODE will release their new album CAPTAIN"ROOTS" on April 10 and are now preparing for extensive touring from Japan through the U.S.A..
