Ramon Dekkers

I'm Ramon Dekkers, champion Muay Thai boxer. I've had 200 fights. I've fought for 20 years, and have been 8 times world champion, and am now retired since 2001.September 4th, 1986 when i was 16 years old, I started to train in Thai Boxing at Cor Hemmers gym in Breda.When i was 16 i had my first fight, and won by Knockout! At 17 i had my first title shot, and won by Knockout.In Thailand i was the first Foreign fighter to receive the "Fighter of the year" award. Later on in my career of Muay Thai kickboxing, i was labled with different Nicknames. Such as "The turbine from hell" and "The Diamond"Thailand has some of the toughest fighters around, and was always a challenge, but i always told myself i could beat them, and i did. Always believe in yourself, and you can do anything in the Muay Thai fighting world. Other Countries aren't as tough as Thailand with fighters.. France has some good fighters right now too, but Countries like the U.S.A need to improve a bit. No offense to anyone, just saying what i know from Experience.
