DAI*SHI name was defined DAI means big and SHI means 4 or death. So, DAISHI was simply translated as the Big Four. In Japanese dictionary, DAISHI means Master in Religion, so we hope with this name we will be master in our religion (read : music). And we simply added star icon to make it different.
Starting in 2006, KiRa (Sampler) was doing his duo project called the sugoiis. This duo needs a drummer, keyboardist, and backing vocal, so KiRa recruited Roku, ASWAN, and Hime. After the project ended, we realized our similarity in passion for music . DAI*SHI was born that day. After many changes in formation, finally we met DoWE to fill the guitar position. Until now, we keep trying our best to change the world with our music. May our music be with you!
