Jason Courtenay was born into a family full of country music heritage. As a child Jason was fortunate. Not only was he raised on a cattle ranch he was raised on the road with a father who was a well known performer. These two ingredients were essential in shaping Jasons future in country music.
Jason was inspired by the outlaws of country music such as Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Travis Tritt, and Mark Chesnutt. These influences were evident as Jason began to perform in the Savannah Georgia area. Jason quickly built a large fan base, a loyal following, and gained notoriety not only from his peers but in the media as well.
Jason has won several fan voted awards for his music and hosted numerous charity events using the healing power of music to raise money for just causes. This mission of music has afforded Jason to be a house hold name in country music in and around Georgia.
Jasons talent and his drive to be successful has opened the door for him to follow his passion and be a full-time performer. Through this ideal situation Jason has become not only a mentor to other artist but a skilled music businessman as well.
Jason has toured, played with, and opened for such names as Mark Chesnutt, Jo Dee Messina, Craig Morgan, Chely Wright, Lila McCann, David Ball, Joe Nichols, Toby Keith, and Lee Greenwood just to name a few. He has also performed on the USO tour for our troops. Jason has appeared on television, radio, and is a recommended artist by music critics alike from all over Georgia and Tennessee.
