About Me

I like to meet people. I enjoy socializing with others. Keeping it positive. Insulting and criticizing just build communication barriers. No need for that. For now read my interests to learn a little more about meI do like to laugh, be humorous and tell dumb jokes. For example, 'A guy walks into this bar and says ouch!" If you're not laughing then have a couple of your favorite drinks and come back and see if that doesn't help. Anyway, you probably won't see me on comedy central anytime soon. Hopefully there is someone out there that doesn’t need a stand up comedian for a date but can still laugh with me, even with out the drinks.I am more of a type B person, and laid back. I see myself as a ‘long distant runner’ rather than as a sprinter in life. But because of that long distant runner in me, I am able to accomplish my goals and be persistent in goals I am working on.I do like to travel and have been to several countries (Ghana, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica and Brazil). Been to 26 states so far would like to see the rest of the 50.Joke for the dayA man and his wife are sitting in the living room and he says to her: "Just so you know, I never want to live in a vegetative state dependent on some machine. If that ever happens, just pull the plug." His wife gets up and unplugs the TV.

My Interests

I have a few interest. One is Capoeira, a brazilian martial art dance (you may have notice it pronounce incorrectly on "Meet the Fokkers" when Dustin Hoffman attempts to do some capoeira moves but the word is actually pronounced cap-o-ay-ya. Can you say capoeira boys and girls?) I have been involved in capoeira since 1999. It is a fun dynamic activitiy that involves exercise, spirituality, music, history and just about everything that makes up humanity.I am also involved in a samba group called Super Sonic Samba School. Here is a web address to the group it is still isn't complete http://sssamba.org/ I play the surdo mostly. The Surdo is the big huge bass drum. I also play the cuica which sounds like a monkey squecking and the taborim. I basically like anything with a lot drums/percussions. I probably have more percussion drums for my own good. I also enjoy latin and caribbean music as well and have in my drum collection congas, bongos, djembe, timbales, timbau, tan-tan, atbaque, berimbaus, repinique, repinique de mão, caixa, guitars and two synthesiser (keyboards) which need repair. I don't know any places that repair keyboards. Guitar Center used to but not anymore so if you know any places that do keyboard repairs let me know.I also like to camp, kayak (I have two want to come along), walk/hike, rollerblade, and garden. I also like to cook. I will admit that I don't cook as much since I am living by self it is almost hard to justify cooking up a extravagant meal just for one.One other thing I do like to dance salsa, merengue and bachata. Any one up for a dance? Can't dance? that's okay I don't either but I will dance sooo bad I will make you look good ;) lol

I'd like to meet:

I intially signed up on my space for another way to meet others for dating or more or friends. I'm not picky but do have just a few standards. I don't want to be too picky because that can be or lead to prejudice. Need room to appreciate diversity as long as it is not negative. It would be wonderful to be with someone that I can hang out with that is nice. I do like to communicate and please but I am not a mind reader and don't expect others to be mind readers either.Would also be nice to meet others that have travel and talk about their travel experiences.Don't be shy, hit me up and send me a 'HI" The worst that can happen is we become friends ;)

Music:

see interest/general above

Movies:

I enjoy all types foriegn, suspension, love stories, horror, action but comedy is the best. After all laughter is the spice of life, with music being the food for the soul.

Television:

Don't watch much. Doesn't seem to be anything good on it these days.

Books:

I do like to read books. Mostly nonfictions about other people, places and things. Though a good fictional story is fun to read too.

Heroes:

To all those that help create peace and love on this planet
