Although they are invisible for most people’s eyes, our World is ruled by dark cold-blooded entities, rows of numbers braided together with their greasy tresses. To cover the void of their nakedness they wear shiny robes, dyed with the many colours of the dreams they snatched away from the poets, and they speak with others’ voices -voices they bought, voices they stole- through their triple throats in a deafening uproar. They are ghosts of saturation and indifference, shepherds of bodies without a soul… and they are making their sheepfold out of this world.El Antagonista can see them. Then El Antagonista vomits and fights, he weeps and meditates, he sings and with his song he rusts the engines. That’s why he has become a fearful enemy for the invisible ones.El Antagonista reveals himself through an instrumental trio, a soundscape maker that can soothe or itch. Misty chords that melt together with the saxophone’s voice and sounds of Nature, in a highly personal language where you can spot several influences: elegance of modern jazz, atmospheres of Hindustani music, post-rock textures, the immediacy of folk melodies… from classical music to deep house, the members of El Antagonista have absorbed every kind of sound and they throw them into this melting pot.

Still life?

Once more I'm confused. People say my music sounds like New Age... I wonder if it's just because I don't have drums on it or maybe there's a deeper reason for that labelling. Honestly, my experience i...

In the beginning

Late at night, early October, waning moon, a garbage truck out there in the streets of Madrid. I can hear the cars passing by, they sound like opaque sea waves. It's the very end of another day in the...
