About Me

My Interests

Things I like/love in random order... family get-togethers (Tuesday nights), my son, my son's curls with Johnson's baby lotion in them, the Bible, scented candles, Terrence Green, Starbucks coffee, Jamaica- when there are no hurricanes coming, warm nights, squishy hugs, Jesus, holding new babies, my parents, the sound of rain, my husband's lips, taking pictures, nacho cheese Doritos, romantic comedies, camp Arnold, my brother Aaron, banana chips (the Jamaican kind... they are salty), sleeping in, good worship, teaching, playing volleyball, talking with friends, my husband's smile, flip-flops, mangos, good hair days, people who show they love God by the way they live their lives, my nieces and nephews, vacations, The Salvation Army School for the Blind, learning new things, IKEA furniture, summer time, the ocean, singing songs in the car, Trae's voice, the smell of snow, showers so hot they make my skin tingle, sunless tanner, doodling, holding my son, laughter, warm sand on my feet, watching Terrence and Trae dance, scrap-booking, curry chicken, finishing a task, honest people, being spontaneous, skiing, unexpected days off (snow days), gum, childhood memories... the list goes on and on.

My number one goal and priority in life is to live a life that is pleasing to God. I want to be everything that he created me to be. I desire to be right in the middle of his will for my life because that is when I have peace and satisfaction and that is when I know I'm living out my destiny.

My number two priority is my little family (my husband and my son).

My husband (Terrence) is the love of my life. I love spending time with him and I'm so happy that we will get to grow old together.

My son Trae (Terrence III) is the fulfillment of the greatest and longest desire I've ever had for myself... to be a mommy!

I can't even explain the love I feel for him.

Next comes helping others. I want to make a difference in the lives of other people. Right now that comes in the form of being a special education teacher. Throughout my life I want to contribute positively to the world around me.

Music:

Worship music is my favorite, however, I also like and listen to many other types.

Movies:

Any chick-flick (romantic comedy) type movie. Oh, and how could I forget...Trae's favorites at this time are... Veggie Tales, Finding Nemo, Elmo movies, Monsters Inc., Charlotte's Web and My Baby Can Talk. Now that we don't have cable we watch the same movies over and over.

Television:

My favorite shows are Baby Story, Super Nanny, Wife Swap, Dr. Phil and Oprah. However, we don't have cable anymore so I don't really watch tv. I just watch cartoon movies with Trae.

Books:

The B-I-B-L-E yes that's the book for me! Plus whatever else sounds good at the time. I love to read but I don't get to enough with a toddler running around.

Heroes:

Jesus! He's my ultimate, number-one hero!

My parents(now that I'm a parent I know how much they did for me that I didn't even realize or understand until I had my own child).

My husband (who loves me unconditionally even when I'm at my worst). He is so patient, so gentle and so loving!
