The Funk Jazz Lounge is a weekend radio show featuring Neo-Soul hits from Angie Stone, Maxwell, Lauryn Hill and DAngelo; Jazzy Urban grooves from Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Sade, Les Nubians, Amel Larrieux, Musiq, Lenny Kravitz and MeShell Ndegeocello. Not to mention some non-commercial artists like YahZarah, NDambi, Toshi Koboto, Julie Dexter, Eric Roberson and Grenique, to name a few. The show also features classic hits from Anita Baker, Marvin Gaye, Soul II Soul, Roy Ayers, Prince, and more.
The Funk Jazz Lounge is infused with spoken word drops that add poetic
flavor and incorporate artist(s) interviews into an already uniquely programmed
show. In addition, the 6 feature show has a Spoken Moment, dedicated to the art of spoken word and has become the show's signature sign-off.

This unique experience is also weekly Thursday night event that includes two lounges for your choice of entertainment. The Poetry Lounge invites you to elevate your mind, body and soul with poetic stimulation. Hosted by the ever so energetic and powerful poet & comedienne, Rashida Bartley, a local and internationally known Spoken Word Artist who has performed for HBOs Def Poetry and CSPAN, as well as Miamis Improv Comedy Club, just to name a few. The Poetry Lounge features some of the areas most talented and upcoming spoken word artists in addition to national artists that feature weekly.
The Groove Lounge features an upbeat social scene with our resident deejays who supply a mix of urban jazz, neo-soul and rare grooves. As the night progresses youre invited to fall into a trance as you relax at the bar or dance the night away to the rhythms of R&B, Hip-Hop and Reggae.
Some patrons come to dance, some to enjoy dinner in a social environment and others come to meet other like-minded music and Spoken Word aficionados, but all come for a great experience. The Funk Jazz Lounge has also become a regular hangout for many of South Florida's media, sports and entertainment celebrities.
Known as The Sexiest Night In Miami for its eclectic mix of people, its famous poetry show and great music, The Funk Jazz Lounge attracts people from all over the country and has become a South Florida mainstay on Thursday nights.
This weekly event has proven to be a fantastic success, garnering the attention of many of South Floridas largest publications, such as the Miami Herald, New Times, Street Magazine and Rolling Out Magazine.
