Sounds Like: A world of painkillers. The morning after. The only nightlight in an otherwise pitch black hallway. The church sermon you missed because you were looking at the earrings of the girl in front of you. Sitting alone underneath the only light in the parking lot. A whispered scream. The question fused with the answer to form something that would be pronounced " the cancer". The taste of your own blood in your mouth. Waking up to the sound of your own screaming. Smoking more because your throat hurts. Your thoughts. Your dreams. Your cries. Something that smells new but breaks the first time you hit somebody with it. A copy of a copy of a copy of something that can and should never be copied. The impossible that becomes possible if you close your eyes and slam your head against a wall. Faith. Or the lack of it. All of the above. Listen hard and close.
