Beatboy A creative human beat box with focus on the beat!
Beatboy aka Thomas Bense started as a drummer and trained in he..s beatbox talent, inspired by the well-known rap group "Fat Boys". Thomas started this career in Svendborg (a little town in Denmark) as a member of the local rapgroup "Liquid Juice". His career soon started to take off with appearances on different stages, guest appearances, and CD releases within the bounds of funk, pop and hip hop. As a member of the rapgroup "Break Down Family", they qualified for the final of Danish masters of rap. The same year he qualified for the final in alternative music with the funk group "Da mothers".
In April 2003, Beatboy was invited to the human beatbox convention in London, with 17 other world class beatboxer..s, from around the world. (take a look at the review)
Since then Thomas have been invited to do shows all over the world, to perform and battle with some of the best beatboxers in the world. But also Beatboy has done showcases on festivals, fashion events, sport events, etc. He does solo shows, but also did several shows with Danish and international musicians.
Besides this he have been busy with performing radio jingles, CD's, TV and radio shows, commercials and so on. Beatboy is doing an impressive gimmick that only a few people could do him after.

A great stage performance which is something that beatboxers too often forget to think about (people are looking at you guys, there's no excuse not to move around and look cool). BEATBOY finished off his tight set with a truly original skit that made me wanna go and buy the man a Carlsberg Export. He expressed a 'beatbox love story' by assigning a certain rhythm and pitch to each gender and then skilfully intertwining the two and bringing the crowd to a frothy climax.
