If life wher a videogame... I'd use cheat codes

About Me

Hello! You’ve come to my Myspace page, I assume because you know me, or you’ve seen my movie Shadow of the Brick. Either way, welcome. Here, my friend (?) you will find, drawings I’ve done, comics, movies, opinions reviews, and Easter eggs, if you look hard enough. I try to update this site of mine as much as I can, that is, when ever I get inspired, creative, or depressed from feeling guilty about neglecting it. So, now you know about my little corner of the interweb, I guess you’d like to know more about me, presuming that’s why you’re here in the first place…

My name is Matthew Obrebski , and I’ve lived in Hamilton Ohio all my life. I enjoy playing videogames, and have since I played my first game at my neighbor Tommy’s house, across the street. Zombies Ate My Neighbors was that game. After that, my parents helped me buy a Sega, and my first game, Jurassic Park, which is my favorite movie EVER! Then it was all about Playstation, Spyro the Dragon and Tony Hawk, which lead to a short faze of skateboarding, which ended when I accepted that I sucked, and shifted my focus towards designing skateboards. However I realized that wasn’t going anywhere either, and returned to my first love, videogames. It was only till I bought Jak and Daxter for the Playstation 2, that I had the desire to make them. So here I am, going to college, majoring in Art with a minor in English, and looking forward to getting in the videogame business as a creative director, like my idol David Jaffe (I even have dreams of working for his independent company Eat Sleep Play).

I spend my time writing stories, poetry, working on the site you see before you, listening to podcasts, reading magazines, and watching TV. I am interested in Ufology (the search for extraterrestrial evidence), cryptozoology, demonology, and other so called “crackpot” sciences. But I know the truth is out there! I spend most of my money on eBay, were I buy all of my videogame related clothing. And spend a lot of time watching people play videogames I’ll never play on Youtube. Like me yet? No? Give me some time, send me a message, get to know me, I’m funny, smart, and other good things every mother tells her child. If you still can’t say, I’ll make you like me. LOVE ME! Hahaha!

This year will be my first time voting in a presidential election. When my parents asked me rather I would register for Democratic or Republican, I told them screw those two, I'll start my own political party, the Pizza Party!

SHADOW OF THE BRICK

I love the game, Shadow of The Colossus, and after seeing GTA Lego City, I desided to do something I've never done before. Over the cource of three weeks, 450 pictures, and five days of editing, I have completed my first Lego animation movie. So now, I bring you , Shadow of The Brick. Go to my Youtube page (mattanddaxter) to watch a making of video, and videos showing the process of making Shadow of the Brick 2.

Shadow of the Brick was featured in the January issue of PSM Magazine.

Featured Game:

Here's a look at the play through I'm doing on my Matt's Gameplay website. On this site I play through a game and record it as if you were playing it yourself. It might not make sense to some (watching someone play a game while but games are meant to be played, not watched), but it's become a big thing on Youtube. It's become a hobby of mine to watch videos of people playing games, too. One reason is that I night not like the game, but enjoy its story. Silent Hill games would fall into this category. Second, is that a game might be hard to find, so you could watch it and enjoy the story second hand. When you come down to it, it's like watching a program about Hawaii on Travel Channel, instead of spending allot of money to go their your self. You miss out on the experience, but you can say you've seen it.
