Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan where his natural and amazing singing talent was discovered at the tender age of 5, Jon Wesley (formally known as JMac!) began cultivating his sound in the local church choir. As his musical abilities developed, Jon Wesley studied Music Education at Virginia Union University and then at Howard University in Washington, DC where he pledged and is a proud member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Professional Music Fraternity.Jon Wesley's vocal ability has afforded him the opportunity to sing on venues that featured such Gospel Artists as Ron Kenoly, Smokie Norful, Darius Brooks, Evelyn Turrentine-Agee, and Dr. Bobby Jones. Although he loves singing, Jon Wesley, continued to enhance his production skills by learning from established artists such as V. Michael McKay and Jeffrey LaValley. His production ventures have varied, working with local independent Washington, DC artists such as the Jubilee Majestic Choir on their recording where he is also noted as the featured vocalist on the song entitled, "Sanctify Me," and co-producing the project "Confident." On Gospel Recording Artist "Kevin McFadden & Redeemed" latest live-production "A Word for You," Jon Wesley renders a spirit-filled and invigorating addition on piano. Jon Wesley also has to his credit, producer of "Stay Beneath the Blood" by Min. Kevin and Shelly Barber and more recently the production of the theme music for Tracy Morgan's Mid-Day show, on Heaven 1580 a.m. a Radio One station and the Tracy Morgan Show, which airs on Clear Channel every Saturday afternoon.2007 will finally see the highly anticipated debut release by Jon Wesley entitled, "Spiritual Flow." This self-produced project will consist of 10 songs to be released in the Fall of 2007. "Spiritual Flow" will have a strong mixture of Urban, Contemporary, and Praise and Worship melodies for all to enjoy.Jon Wesley's debut of his production of the single "Everything" has captured the attention of listeners and the buzz is out over internet play of his chart topping single. Since its release, there has been nothing but success to follow. Jon Wesley is delivering a sound that is burning up the internet as far reaching as Germany & Japan. In addition to the many accolades and rave reviews of his single, he received his first award nomination by Unity Productions, Inc., the organizers of the "Annual Tiffany Gospel Awards." During the 2004 celebration in recognition of independent artist, Jon Wesley was nominated in the category of "Gospel Single of the Year - Male" and has climbed another milestone by winning in the category becoming the proud recipient of 2004 trophy.
