About Me

THE SANDGUINEAS VIDEO FOR "SILENCE". FILMED AND DIRECTED BY JUSTIN ARMAN.
OK, we're not going to bore you with everybody's childhood fucking story and try to tell you what are sound is like. You're listening to us right now, so I'm sure you're intelligent enough to figure out wether you like us or not. As far as our background Zafar Amin [vocalist/guitar] and Afzaal Deen [guitar] have lived all over the world. These two maniacs grew up together in Pakistan and ended up going to school together in England where they stumbled upon Punk Rock in it's early stage. From there they moved to the States. Zafar put his mind to business in New York City while Afzaal explored this new thing called "Industrial" in Chicago. He formed Stalwart which influenced a bunch of future drug abusers like Nine Inch Nails and Ministry. After that Afzaal headed to New York City where he started one of the first female fronted metal bands, Crisis. That's where I came in. I had a label called Too Damn Hype Records [Candiria, SubZero, Dare To Defy, etc] and ended up singning them. Oh yeah, I'm Met [Drums]. Anyways, they went on to sign with Metal Blade and put out some records and did some rock star type tours and all that good stuff. I myself played in Dare To Defy, The Bad Luck 13 Riot Extravaganza [Yes, the band that causes all the riots] and with original gangster rapper Schoolly D for a few years. Last but not least we added The World Famous Joe V on bass. He played in a bunch of New York Hardcore bands like Darkside NYC, Rejuvinate and Cause For Alarm. So basically we are just a bunch of East Coast scumbags leaching off this California sun and playing no frills Punk Rock music the way we think it should be played.
