About Me

SUPER DJ TERRELL “PEACHES” CLARK … because music is my life!!
Few people get to fill their life with their passion...even fewer get to embrace it and excel. However, Terrell Clark or Peaches as he is known to a loyal, devoted and growing legion of music lovers has done both!
The early, soulful, and underground music scene in Philadelphia profoundly influenced Terrell. Through some of the late, great DJ pioneers, Donald Stone (Catacombs and Chuck’s Recovery Room), David Todd (Catacombs and respected studio re-mixer), and Brandon Harris (Smart Place and Olympia Ballroom) he learned that a DJ needed to be passionate about the music and tell a story in the mix…not just play records or let technology dictate how you did it. Add to this, the influence of SOUL from artists like EWF, TSOP, and Stevie Wonder, Terrell had the mentorship and influence that established him as a pillar in the Philadelphia music community!
Mix tapes were the early expression of Terrell’s passion until Fred Pierce gave him his chance at the Swann Club in 1982. From there he earned a residency at After Midnight, playing hip-hop and working the lights, illustrating his versatility. While continuing to be drawn by the need to dance, he was a fixture at Catacombs. Along the way, his residencies continued at The Twilight Zone, Back Street and The Nile (both with Donald Stone). Also, Stars 1 then Stars 2 (five nights a week!). Terrell’s music selection, sweet and juicy mixes, which seemed to last “for days”, hence the name Peaches and humble approach translated to legendary parties, where he “fed” off the energy of the PEOPLE.
Peaches then turned to the commercial end of the business as Conference Coordinator and later Dance Music Editor of the industry trade magazine, Impact Publications, establishing some of the largest and best music conferences in the country. He continued to make his passion, his vocation by helping, mentoring, and promoting a new generation of DJs, artists, and music lovers at the legendary Philadelphia record store, The Sound of Market/Jazsound. There, Terrell has continued to ensure that the diversity of music is exposed to a wide variety of people. By the way, Peaches has also remained a dance floor diva… just watch him move on Saturday nights, sorry, Sunday mornings at The Shelter in New York, once again highlighting his passion for SOUL whether it be listening, playing, dancing, or promoting music!
Terrell Clark…Peaches, has packed the dance floors wherever he goes by staying true to his mentors, the music, and his passion. The good news is, he will continue to share music in many ways for years to come, as was evident by a recent guest appearance at the popular party, Sundae, at the Bubble House.
Sweet & Juicy Peaches is just the “dessert” that music lovers crave!
DEL – August 2007
2008 has proved to be a good year for Terrell. March of that year he was one of the head lining DJs on a show with Kevin Hedge (Blaze) and Barbara Tucker. Terrell was scheduled to do a 1 hr. set, but because the crowd was so blown away by his performance, he was begged to do a 2nd hr.
Later that year in June, with the launch of the NEW Club Mantra, Terrell was the Resident DJ for a show that featured dance music legend, DJ Roland Clark.SUPER DJ Terrell Clark continues to stay true to the Souful music.
Stay tuned for more great things to come from this Philly Legend.

Influences: Three of Philadelphia's unsung club Heroes...Donald Stone (Catacombs and Chuck's Recovery Room), Brandon Harris (Smart Place and Olympia Ballroom) and David Todd (Catacombs and studio Remixer). They've all passed on to SPIN at that party up above. For those of you who experieced their MAGIC on the turntables, you know why they're mentioned. Also, the old school flavor of Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind & Fire. Gamble & Huff and The Sound Of Philadelphia. The New School flavor of Blaze (well, their not so new any longer). Masters At Work and the original Chicago House Sound... Marshall Jefferson, Jesse Saunders, Frankie Knuckles, Steve "Silk" Hurley, Larry "Mr. Fingers" Heard & Robert Owens. The new new schoolers like, Quentin Harris, MR. V and his crew.
Sounds Like: The DJs of yesterday, who spun music for the LOVE of it. Not because TECHNOLOGY "said" you could be a DJ.
