Neok

Neok is born in Belgium (Antwerp) in 1982. Music has always been an important part of his life, and like most of us the Belgian nightlife quickly lured him into a world of electronic, repetitive sounds. Influenced by artists like The Delta, Midimiliz, Opsis and Authentic he made his first DJ appearance in 2003 playing mainly Tech-Trance and Psychedelic techno. His love for music, and passionate drive for keeping the party scene alive, eventually resulted in the founding of Psyfest, a party concept he and a couple of friends started in 2004. Their main venue was Club Zazou in Lier but they also hosted several parties in other venues all over Antwerp, giving DJ’s like Poxy, Xio, Azrael and many others the chance to show their skills.
Over the years Neok’s music style evolved into a more techno oriented style of minimal and progressive house. They changed the name of their organisation from Psyfest to Nomathic, and he started hitting the decks together with his good friend and ‘partner in crime’ Dennlav. The past two years Neok & Dennlav have been hitting the decks together on a regular basis, playing at parties organised by most leading Belgian party concepts like Purple Snow Productions, Smiley Tribe, Essence of Progression and many more. Their style can best be described as a mix of electro, minimal and progressive house, depending on where they have to play and the vibe of the moment, always on the lookout for new, innovative sounds of now.
