Deaf Boy Records LLC. was established in early 1998. This venture was took on by two brothers raised in Cincinnati, Ohio in the 70s. Chris Alsop, the founder the Deaf Boy persona and Bobby Alsop the co-founder. The brothers where well known in the tri-state area do to the popularity of there family owned pager shops, Street Life Pagers. Chris, better know as DEAF CHRIS founded this label with intentions on being the first deaf rapper. He was fully prepared to make every move necessary to make his life long dream a reality
As Chris perused his career in the industry he noticed that he had more then love for music it was a passion. Do to Chriss heavy roll in the family business he put his career on hold, instead of letting the label doing the same he signed his first group called Reign. Reign hit the music seen hard and made them selfs nationally known. Reign open shows for Joe, Rome, Chico, and 112 just name a few. They where also advertised in Rollin-Stones Magazine, Vibe Magazine, and The source.
Presently Deaf Boy Records has once again opened its doors. Bobby Alsop now taking the C.E.O position is dedicated to making it to the top. Deaf Boy Records is now fully staffed with people who have passion for music and dedicated to making it happen.
