LAURIE BIO:Born in Canada to a Canadian Father and Danish mother, Laurie grew up singing from a early age in church and playing conservatory piano from age 6. She quickly moved her focus from the piano to voice, and started singing at different local events as a young talent. Throughout high school Laurie continued to sing and recorded a song for an episode of the Canadian TV series "Cold Squad" which aired internationally. She was accepted at age 16 to Copenhagen, Denmark's school of music SANKT ANNAE where she studied music for a year and teamed up with a local musicians and got her first taste of giging. After returning to Canada, Laurie was seen on Canadian "pop stars" TV show as a finalist for females, and is still occasionally recognized for that!After graduating high school Laurie pursued her musical interest in college as a voice/music major and attended a local college, later trasfering to Musician's Institute in Los Angeles for the VIT vocal program. Before attending college, however, Laurie teamed up with 2 male singer/rappers to form the R&B group "JUST" that performed locally throughout the Vancouver club scene and participated in "New Music West" festival and "Kokannee Sumit Soundoff" finals, placing in the top three bands hosted by "THE BEAT" radio station in Vancouver, Canada. Laurie was the main female voice of the group and was 18/19 at the time, performing at clubs that Laurie wasn't even of age to get into was a kick for her!In Spring, 2005 Laurie was contacted to join an international, touring band in Asia for various hotel and club gigs and traveled for over a year and half performing in China, Hong Kong & Indonesia at various venues including RITZ CARLTON "MISTERE" in Jakarta Indonesia, and opening for famous Indonesian singer "RIO FABRIAN" and asian popstars "RATU". Laurie, now based in Los Angeles, is currently recording music with Cerf Music Productions placing songs with various European dance music labels and breaking into the dance music market!!
