About Me

Guitar Music
You can find a few of those delightful guitar songs I play under the "Chappy" playlist on my player. Read below for the press b.s.
“I thought the ukulele was good, but I really liked the drummer.”
-WWOZ, New Orleans Listener after hearing a live solo performance of Spooky Uke
Happy Accidents
Ukuleles can do some surprising things if you hit them just right. In fact, everything you're hearing percussion-wise on my recordings (minus the occasional washboard) is the ukulele, without overdubbing. It's a technique I fell into one summer day while writing a spoof Led Zepplin song about hobbits. Through a series of happy accidents the spoof evolved into "Spooky Uke", which is not a spoof but a very serious song about the very real-life problems of farmers being attacked by the undead, or possibly aliens, or maybe undead aliens. You could even say that the song is really symbolic of small farmers being driven out of business by the agro-industrial complex. You could say that, I wouldn't mind.
