Snowboarding, Elegant Code, Art of all kinds (I wish I had tallent in this area), Beer (not including the watery stuff they advertise on TV), Guitar, People who think and/or see things differently than me, a healthy level of bitterness in people (people who act happy all the time just come across as ingenuine), Black Coffee, and Dark Chocolate.
I'd like to meet:
Just people I've met in person. I really only use MySpace as a way to keep in touch with the various people I know around the world.
Music:
I can enjoy just about everything (depending on my mood) except Country. As of late, I've been rapt with music that can capture my soul and take it on a journey. Sounds dramatic, I know, but that's the best way I can describe it. Most recently that's consisted of Fogey , Conjure One, Mum, Thievery Corporation, Zero 7 & Muse. I've also been digging on Thom Yorke's new album, Carey Ott, Atmosphere, Broken Social Scene, Eagles of Death Metal, Eyedea & Abilities, Frou Frou, Iron & Wine, J5, Massive Attack, Immortal Technique, Menomena, Mylene Pires, Sage Francis, Radiohead, The Streets, & Talib Kweli.
Movies:
Little Miss Sunshine, A Scanner Darkly, Vanilla Sky, Closer, V for Vendetta, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Requim for a Dream, Donnie Darko, Garden State, Loose Change 2nd Edition, Why We Fight, Fight Club, Brick, The Princess Bride, The Ballad of Ricky Bobby.
Television:
I hardly ever watch TV anymore. When I get the chance though, I love The Daily Show with John Stewart and The Colbert Report. I also enjoy the occasional Robot Chicken, Venture Brothers, Family Guy, or Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode. Sadly, I've also fallen prey to both Lost and 24.
Books:
Atlas Shrugged, Blink, The Davinci Code, Lord of the Rings Trillogy and The Hobbit, & Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy Trilliogy (all 5). I also read a fair amount of non-fiction that most of you would probably find painfully boring (Brian Greene, Albert Einstein, and a good variety of software development / coding / algorithmic type books).
Heroes:
Anyone wearing a t-shirt with the words "Your Hero" printed on the front in large, friendly letters, and anyone who dares to take the necessary risks in order to make something of themselves.
