.. It's easy to get lured in by CryCiz's hypnotic spell. On the rousing "Sign of the Times" the E.ST Louis born moved to Los Angeles at the age of 3 sprinkles his trackz with seventies influenced vocalz. And when CryCiz begins to rhyme, his calm, steady flow exudes a universal and captivating appeal heightened by his thought provoking lyricz.
But this only one of CryCiz's styles. The artist who produces, raps, sings, and writes has been blessed with a multiplicity of musical gifts that prevents him from being pigeon holed.
He showcases his musical dexterity on other songs such as "Chandlierz" where he speaks on past loves, which bubbles with trickling chimes and humming bass. He sings the blues of hardships and parenthood on the spiritually charged "BrakeLights." Then he finds comfort spewing his uncontestable braggadocios lyrics over the laid bacc music pace of "The Receipe," and the throbbing club rattling "WestCoast Shit.""My style is unorthodox," says the artist with more than 400 songs to his credit. "I got some shit thats never been heard or even made before."
When CryCiz boasts that his music trancends that of the average rapper, the artist raised on Cameo, Stylistics, Marvin Gaye, and the Isley's has the goods to bacc up his statement. Instead of rhyming about dope or diamonds, CryCiz embraces the everyday duality of good and evil via his many alter egos. MR. MaGogg embodies dark thoughts, sex, violence, and all things negative. AbaDDon the Great king of the chorus counteracts the evil with unconditional faith in Christ. The Culprit CryCiz is the dichotomy of both. Let this be no mistake of gimmic, he truely suffers from the ever growing syndrome Bi-polar. With no medicine for this split personality because of health insurance, he calms himself with occasional Medical,(need i say more?).CryCiz's real life ordeals are the root of his preference for substance. The SEVENFOOT TALL former USC and Fresno State basketball star launched his music career in the early 90's, when he hooked up with former group member BOSKO (2pac, Limp Bizkit, Bone Thugs, E-40), while attending USC. When their stint in MCA/Gasoline Alley group 3Wayz didn't work out, CryCiz later transferred to Fresno State to play for the great Jerry Tarkanian, but didn't find solace. Just a semester short of graduation, he found himself serving 6 months in jail on a robbery charges for which he maintains his innocence. The tumultuous expierence helped him refocus his priorities, which now rank music at the top of the list, after GOD and family ofcourse. "it was kinda like a lift off my shoulders to start new," CryCiz says. "I lost everything, cars, money, family and friends. And I decided to put all of my energies into music."For some artist, overcoming such obstacles merely signals a prime marketing opportunity for their careers. But there's a more meaningful purpose to CryCiz's art. He doesn't just want to recant his woes to beat, but rather use them to console those who can relate. "I talk about Migeeto a lot, you know the ending of all of these things we see in this world of CryCiz." And because he's able to paint his pictures in such a vivid array of musical, lyrical, and vocal tapestries, he's able to take his listeners along for the ride....................
