Coming up with funny little tunes was part of being a creative little girl and a way to entertain herself and family back in Havana, Cuba, where she was born.
Thats when it all started. Her interest and vocation for music became more and more obvious as she grew up, unfolding on a final decision to pursue it professionally.
In 1996 she graduated from University of Miami school of Music with a major in Jazz Vocal Performance. That same year she joined ASCAP. Since then she has been writing professionally for different artists and have been afiliated with various publishing companies such as Sony Music Publishing, Universal Music Publishing, Musical Productions, Sonolux, etc. Performing and recording as a singer has also been a big part of her professional carrier having worked with artists like Gloria Estefan, John Secada, Shakira, Olga Tanon, Jose Luis Rodriguez, Arturo Sandoval, Juan Gabriel, Roberto Carlos, among others. Through the years and presently she writes and co-writes.
Since 2002 she has been one of Gloria Estefans Miami Sound Machines background vocalists and continues to write and co-write.
