Jason Mento is a singer-songwriter living in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area. He has been playing guitar and keyboards for local cover and original bands for the past 15 years. Jason was a member of Spin City in the mid-90s which was a Dance/Top 40 cover band that played venues throughout Philadelphia, including clubs along Delaware Avenue. With Spin City, Jason performed at various festivals at Penn’s Landing and Veteran’s Stadium for the Philadelphia Eagles.
In the late-90s, with his duo, Almost Eden, he performed at area restaurants and weddings as well as the grand opening of the Atlantic City Convention Center and Atlantic City's Beachfest. In 2001, he joined the guitar-rock-instrumental band, G-FORCE, and had the opportunity to perform at The Trocadero and the legendary CBGB’s. Jason wrote and recorded with the original pop/rock band STORM in 2003 at Sigma Sounds Studios for their debut LP, Counterclockwise. Legends Hall of Fame Producer, Robert Metzger, noted that STORM had ‘a truly incredible combination of superb songwriting and musicianship.’
Jason's writing style is edgy-pop that sometimes has a folk/rock vibe. He is influenced by various blues, rock, pop and folk artists. He is a member of BMI.
