Since birth C-Dub has been accompanied by struggle and pain. As soon as he was brought into this world his mother gave him up for adoption, and he has been feeling the effects of this ever since. Despite the blessing of being adopted at 6moths, like any of us would, C-Dub yearned to know who shared the same flesh and blood as he. Malls and grocery stores became regular lookout points for his quest to catch an eye of a biological relative. " I didn't know what my biological family looked like, but I had a feeling that if I saw them I could feel a connection, an impulse telling me I was close to a relative".
At age 15 his life would take another extremely devastating blow. His watchful eye would have to endure watching his loving fate hr die. With no warning, his healthy and athletic father caught a heart attack once he arrived home from work. His father cried out for C-Dub not to call his mother nor the police, prolonging help, and thus ultimately becoming his last words. Frustrated with the cards that life had dealt him, C-Dub wanted to change his misfortune.
Around this time close neighborhood friends of his started going to jails, prisons, and dying from the harsh reality of street life in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Displaying an entrepreneurial spirit C-Dub started a publishing company and record label at age 19. Despite struggle and pain still haunting him to this very day, with his mother finding out she's diagnosed with cancer, he is pushing toward a positive. "At a young age, I've endured more than most adults, I know life isn't easy. So with my music I want to help people, in similar situations as mine, through their battles and give them hope".
