Welcome to theirplace.
We are Katie and Kelsey and we've been on this outstanding ball of rock and water for 17 years. We've been best friends since preschool, which is a good 13 or 14 years. Theirplace is our love child, which was born after Warped Tour 2006 where we met some of our favorite people but had no way to communicate with them other than the soul-sucking establishment that is myspace.
So we figured, why not. It won't kill us, and at least we'll be able to keep in touch with bands we love so very much. It is our myspace, but it is all about the bands, therefore we decided to name it theirplace. Not theirspace- don't get it confused. Theirplace. We are much too splendid to just own a space.
Over the past year, theirplace grew to include many, many more bands who we did not meet at warped tour, but were searching for fans and found us.
Warped Tour 2007 was just as superb as 2006. We met more bands, made more friends, fell in love with more music, and continued our habit of stalking the tents of our musical interests. With our excellent dance moves and stellar personalities we captured the hearts of everyone- well, we'd like to at least think we did. That's good enough for us.
If you're wondering about the name? Keltie comes from Kelsey and Katie. Buttchinson..that one's a little more of our 16 year old humor. Kelsey's last name starts with a "B", and Katie's ends in "utchinson." We added the extra "t" for giggles. No, we don't literally live in a cave, but if you saw Kelsey's lack of getting out of the house, you'd understand why we say we live in a cave.
IN CONCLUSION
When we say we love you, it's not a joke and we're not just trying to suck up to you. We don't throw it around. Just know that if we've met you before, chances are we would have your children in a heartbeat (Katie might use a surrogate mother, but she would still contribute her eggs.) We're silly and extremely lame but when it comes down to it, it's all about the music; we adore who we adore, and we'll tell you if we do.
