About Me

Brandon and Cora 2009 Prom.
Happy Easter Sunday 2009! I love my Church!
"My Temple"
Brandon and Cora 2009 Prom. A good day to stay inside and play some sweet music!!
The men of the Sea-view in total shock once they entered a town called Fairview on the outer rim of Hell…. Captain Crain could not believe such a place could exist in the real world it is so primitive and backwards.
This is the day we got married, June 1, 1991 up at Forrest Hills Church of Christ, in Brentwood, Tennessee. We moved to a small back woods town in Williamson county; that night, to a beautiful old farm in the city of 10,000 cousins call Fairview, Tennessee. We were and have always been outsiders in the town of 10,000 cousins, better known as the Jingo of the south, just on the outer rim of HELL.
Summer time back in 1995! With the world going to HELL in a hand basket, the best thing to do is to drink lots of beer and go to a ball game!
The real Lads to Leaders Program! Sweet Dreams and Happy New Year!!
NO it cannot be Skipper, the year is not 1967 but 2008? But the earth looks so bad! The wars, pollution, unreal health problems, and economic unrest. They told us in the history books things would be so much better in the future? The Bastards lied. I am so happy you are a Wall Street Banker! To HELL with the world!
Daniel and Karah's secret stuffing mix! The Earth is hollow and: The Nazi's have a a huge base on the dark side of the moon. Are you going to have a Holly-jolly Christmas?
Cora and Jamie having a fun time in Special Collections!
.. Another fun day for the Christian Youth Program at Vanderbilt. Working hard to save the lost and bring about world peace! Well here I am with Char! Where is my sweet little Char? She has been a missing person from our High-school reunions since forever! I would like to give Her a big hung and thank her for being my childhood friend, a very sweet young woman. She made the 1970's easy, sweet, and innocent to go through.
< Has anyone seen my cousin Karen Parker? The 60's were good to her!
<
Cora and Karah have returned from their sub voyage to the center of the earth. They found the hidden Base of the Cult of the Dark Sun and captured many NAZI spies. However they soon realized that the Spies were their kinfolk and let them go back to their hidden base under the South Pole!
It slowly downed on Ward that June's coffee was making him hallucinate What do you mean it is not 1959? It is 2009, are you crazy, I have been sitting around this pool for 50 years drinking and smoking and eating this party tray junk and 50 years have gone by? Well you just come back in the year 2059 and then we will see who is nuts. Once upon a time in the USA, women only needed silver plate and fine china to be happy!! Right? Boy the years have been unkind. This is a good night for TV and sweet dreams of the wonderful future we all are going to share! We are throwing away our heritages and our national treasures. This is one of the first color televisions ever made, saved just by seconds from a land field. She still works perfectly and She is the last of her species: making her a one of a kind priceless piece of artwork now. She is now safe in a Museum of Television History.Every day millions of vintage Radios, Televisions, computers and stereos are trashed. Ninety percent are still working perfectly. They will cause lead and other harmful metals to get into our water supply and are clogging up our land fields. We must stop being such a wasteful people. Workmanship and beauty went into these items and think about the trees and man hours that went into the making of these items. My men are always here on call to fix any of the worlds problems. Our belief is anything you can brake we can fix for you. It is the can do spirit that made us what we are today! YE HA! Molly Ringwald and Sting! What every happened to the American Dream!
Go to ImageShack® to Create your own Slideshow Yes they are real minks, they died around 1952 so the "blood" is on the grandparents. Most folks would throw these beautiful coats away, not politically correct. But I feel the poor little minks would have died in vain so I will keep them for a fashion statement to show how girls once dressed. Do you think we should tell Frank that his zipper is down and he is exposing his junk! Gifts of love from long dead husbands and boyfriends, to young women who are now up in Heaven above. I found a 1928 Fox Stole in a trunk that looks like it should be running around still. It is truly amazing how long fur can last under the right conditions. I guess the cave men knew something. Back in the late 1940's around the Hudson Bay there were thousands of Mink Ranches producing blond, brown, back & white minks by the millions, it was a multi-million dollar industry, now the ranches are gone. But the coats are still hanging in attics across North American landscape. If you ever visit one of this abandon ranches it is very spooky. The hundred of empty cages, the skinning rooms, the mink oil rooms, the huge pelt drying building. The breading areas. The dead towns around the ranches. If you go the the river you hear the little minks laughing, you cannot get us you two legged monsters we are protected now. Quickpost this image to Myspace, Digg, Facebook, and others!
The 1960 model year was an impressive beginning to a new decade. During the Sixties, Cadillac styling became more graceful and restrained as Bill Mitchell gradually unified the design. Few new engineering advances were introduced, but orderly design development and a conservative styling approach set Cadillac apart from other luxury makes and maintained its reputation as "The Standard of the World." To the American public, Cadillac remained a symbol of prestige, success, and good taste. 1960 Cadillac The 1960 Cadillac began the evolutionary process of toning down the excesses of 1959. Although it continued the jet plane styling theme of the '59, its fins were clipped (but still prominent) and Ed Taylor redesigned the taillights into a thin strip of red plastic neatly blended into the end of the fin. Just a little more arsenic-laced injection should do the trick...my mother-in-law won't know what hit her! Supplementing that was a second taillight in each "exhaust port," now a vertical oval that still housed the backup light as well. the simplified grille lost its horizontal divider bar and the front bumper was also simpler and less bulky. New, too, was the instrument panel. All in all, the '60 Caddy had a more formal, yet youthful, look. 1960 Cadillac The Cadillac Series Sixty-Two hardtop coupe, hardtop sedan, and convertible were the "entry level" Cadillacs of 1959 and '60; they were priced at $4892, $5080, and $5455, respectively. The sedan was available in four- or six-window form for the same price. Series Sixty-Two models were distinguished by a narrow full-length chrome rub strip that ran from behind the front wheel to the rear bumper. Cadillac script was located on the side under the rubbing strip on the front fender and the rear grille had only one row of "jewels." Hey everybody, the ice cream man is drunk again! He's giving away free ice cream! LOUISIANA BLUES by Muddy WatersI'm going down in Louisiana, baby, behind the sun I'm going down in Louisiana, honey, behind the sun Well, you know I just found out my troubles just begun I'm going down in New Orleans, hmmmh, get me a mojo hand I'm going down in New Orleans, get me a mojo hand (spoken aside by Little Walter) Aw, take me wit' ya when you go I'm gonna show all you good looking women, just how to treat your man(spoken) Let's go back to N'Orleans, boys Beautiful car and AD but: "Very racist worded advertisement!" I haven't rambled in a while, and I don't have the time or energy for an essay or even to organize thoughts. If God thought the universe into existence, as both the Bible and natural theology indicate that he did, what is he doing now? Why does the world suck? Why are so many people unhappy? Is God on vacation? .. Let's give God the benefit of the doubt and assume that he's not checked out in the human sense; if God created time with the rest of the universe, then God exists outside of time. If that is the case, we can't expect God to function inside of time. Just as the East and West have already been created, so has yesterday and tomorrow. As you may know my name is Glenn Waters. A little bit about me, I am a member of the Antique Television & Radio Forum. I am married and have four kids. So I am willing to meet anybody! I love designing Fall Out Shelters, and think every town needs a Nuclear Power Plant. I would also like to be the first Governor of Mars. Oh the pain, the pain! I miss the Soviet Union, and the Bipolar World of the 1960's. I miss the Space Race and sending men to the Moon. I think America should build their own Stuff, like we did back in the 1950's. Bobby, if you drop those dishes Mom is going to bury you under the house Huge Zenith Television Consoles and Curtis Mathes Stereos the size of a whole wall are cool. As far as Communist go: I would rather have a Communist Atheist for an enemy that a Religious Fanatic, because a Communist thinks that this is all there is and would be least likely to blow the world up! A Religious Fanatic thinks there are 12 young beautiful virgins waiting for him on the other side in Paradise. Today I am very Happy I got this beautiful Curtis Mathes out of a dumpster and in no time I had her up and running, she is really sweet, and this will be the third one I have saved with in the past two years. The biggest problem I had was getting her out of the dumpster because she was bottom up and covered in trash. The picture tube was miraculously not damaged in the fall. To me the workmanship is heavy and southwestern: very Athens Texas, different from a RCA or Zenith but still marvelous and American. These Curtis Mathes have more weight to them than other sets for this era. The wood is thicker on the body and top. I had a Devil of a time get some photos to work, hope these come through OK. She is a 1980 model I believe and after some really good inside cleaning and wire work she works like new! A nice Pecan finish on her wood work and four coaster wheels for easy moving on her bottom. I also have a Curtis Mathes from the late 1970's. The customer protection plan was for four years and was good until 1983. She was made at the Athens Texas Plant, model number G552R. She works very good, her color is not as bright as it was, but she still plays well. I even have a letter from Burke Mathes,Jr. telling me about the high level of excellence in this TV and how they "have worked to surpass ourselves" he also speaks of how he "meant to speak directly to special discriminating segment of the market". The wood covering the chassis is dark Walnut or what they called Pecan, and has a lot of particleboard and press wood in the cabinet. But she has not been mistreated and looks very nice. The remote control is large, black and silver and made in Japan. I can't wait to see their expressions when the kitchen explodes The sound is very good, and I can hook my Laser Disc player and VCR up to her chassis and they play very well. The network stations come in with a light wave in the picture. I think this is because we live so far away in the country. My old Zenith has a brighter picture, but both televisions have very sharp pictures. I think a lot of folks mistreated their old Curtis Mathes sets and with particleboard in a cabinet this can be a nightmare. They are very heavy and have to be moved with extra care not to damage the television. The Quasar I have is still going strong, it was bought at a American Base in Germany, and was made in American from Japanese parts! Her color is great but she needs adjustment now and then. Do you remember the day the world went COLOR! It was described as “the wonderful world of color” in the title of an early television program. On March 25, 1954, the Radio Corporation of America began to manufacture color television sets at its Bloomington, Ind., plant. It initially built about 5,000 of these sets, known as the model CT-100 color receiver. They retailed for $1,000 apiece. These sets with 12-inch-wide screens didn’t receive much use that year, as color casting was severely limited at that time. It would be difficult to imagine life without color television today. Here is what it was like when I was growing up: The 1960s didn't start out with colorful clothes. They were dully designed and looked better on older people. Then little shops called boutiques opened selling cheap and colorful clothing for younger people. During the decade, women started wearing mini skirts, leather boots and fake eyelashes. Men wore Paisley shirts, velvet trousers and high collared Regency jackets. Men also began to wear their hair long. 1960-1962 - At this time, there was a carry over from the 50's, including the "bouffant" look. A "bouffant" look is a dress where the top part is tight and the skirt of the dress puffs out. The popular hairstyle was a beehive, where they tease their hair and piled it high on their head. Another look during this time was the beatnik. The beat look included black berets, black slacks (tight for women) and dark glasses. Women wore float shoes while men wore sandals. Women wore dark eye makeup. Keep those brewskies a-comin' honey! The gas is gone but we still have beer!!! 1963 - Cardin designed the Beatles suits which became popular for men. The suit had a single breasted collarless jacket and slim pants. Mary Quant started her own label, and is responsible for designing mini skirts, colored tights, and wet look vinyl fashions. 1964 - Space age clothing starts to become popular. Different materials were used such as discs of metal or plastic linked together with wire. Leather is also used. Metallic or neon colors were involved. 1967 - Ethnic fashions begins to spread. The ethnic look is clothing picked up from other cultures. The Oriental look and the African/Middle Eastern looks were both port of the ethnic fashion. 1968-1969 - Skirts begin to lengthen out, along with hair. The "Hippie look" is now popular. The women wore long floor length dresses and skirts called maxies. Men continued to grow their hair longer. Hippies decorated everything, including painting their cars with flowers. It's pretty simple girls, just add a couple of crushed librium tablets to the batter and you'll get that new mink coat. Prepare for the future" Obviously, the bigger the weapon yield the larger the area of overpressure damage from the blast wave. But, notice that the damage range does not increase in a linear fashion with the more powerful explosions. For instance, comparing the 200 KT air burst with the five times more powerful 1 MT air burst, the range of moderate damage and initial fires increased from only 4.3 miles to 7.3 miles. This is because the reach of blast and fire effects varies as the cube root of the weapon yield ratio and the cube root of 5 is 1.71. So, instead of a five-fold increase or 500% we have only about a 70% increase in this comparison. Needless to say, the possibility of accidental nuclear war between the United States and Russia increases in an atmosphere of threats and counter-threats, especially relating to specific incidents or ongoing wars -- and especially given Russia's broken down radar and satellite early warning system which cover only a part of Russia's 11 time zones at any one time. Computer and radar glitches, misinterpreted missile launches, unexpected large asteroid explosions -- not to mention a nuclear detonation of unknown origin on either nation -- could lead to a nuclear exchange between the U.S. and Russia. Both nations have only a few short minutes to decide if a real attack is under-way. A readily portable terrorist nuclear bomb would likely be only a fraction as powerful as the examples above, but for reference, the Hiroshima nuclear bomb was only a 15KT air burst. (The RA-115 backpack nukes reported missing from Russian stockpiles are one kiloton yield each, and they would most likely be surface exploded.) According to Russian strategists, preparations for a world war cannot be hidden. After all, nuclear war isn't something you decide on Tuesday morning and initiate on the following Friday afternoon. Such a war requires intensive planning and preparation over a period of months and years. The destructive effects of nuclear weapons cannot be otherwise mitigated. Therefore, special tasks must be carried out to assure post-war recovery, and for the exploitation of what Russian strategists call "nuclear rocket supremacy." <a href="http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vczE3Ni5waG90b 2J1Y2tldC5jb20vYWxidW1zL3cxNjUvam9zaDc3Nzc3Lz9hY3Rpb249dmlld yZjdXJyZW50PTMxNDI1NjM4OV9tLmdpZg=="
