Pray For Al T.G. Harris!!!

About Me

Born Alexander James Harris, this South Florida native has a strong testimony to share with the world. “Alex T.G.” Harris was raised in Liberty City, Miami, FL until his Biological father was sent to prison for more than 7 years. T.G., is the second oldest of his mother’s 4 children whom she raised in the projects as a single mother for years until she married her husband who treated the 4 like they were his own. T.G.’s stepfather was a military man so T.G. has lived all over the world from places such as Germany, Tennessee, Kentucky, Hawaii, and Stock Island/Key West, FL. As a child, T.G. had alot of pain and anger that he held in from seeing his mother abused by her boyfriend, crying every night, and struggling to feed the 4 children everyday. Another major issue for T.G. was that he never really had a lot of friends due to moving so much. After T.G.’s stepfather retired, they moved to Key West, FL where T.G. graduated from Key West High school. During T.G.’s middle school and High school years, T.G.’s sister and best friend moved out to live with her grandma at a young age and this hurt T.G. deeply. T.G. was doing good until he dropped out of community college in Key West, FL because he felt like extra school just wasn’t for him. He started hanging around the wrong crowds and was judged because of his company. He would hang out with the dope boys because they were his friends and then he was considered to be a dope boy by kids around the town and even his parents. T.G. moved to Jacksonville, Fl to get away from some of the pain he was feeling and months later moved back to the keys. Just a little later T.G.’s parents informed him that they were moving to Fayetteville, Ar to help further his younger brother’s football career. T.G. figured that he would just be in the way if he moved with his family because he was already 18 and not going to school so he decided to stay in Key West. The day that his parents left town, they had to go back to the house because they had forgotten something and they found T.G. sleeping in the closet. T.G then left and his mother called him on the phone asking if he was sure that he didn’t want to go with them and T.G. replied “no” due to his feelings. From that point on it was hell for T.G.. He stayed in a trailer with no electricity, water, or food. He had to brush his teeth with Aquafina bottles, and he ate bacon bits for dinner for many nights. He eventually left the trailer and slept on his girlfriend’s swing on her moms back porch for a few nights. One time he even slept in a thunderstorm. T.G.’s girlfriend and her family were a real help to him. They fed him for many nights and let him sleep over a few times. T.G. felt that he was becoming a burden so he went to Stock Island where his best friend’s parents let him stay for weeks and after that once again T.G. was on his way. He started staying out late with the dope boys and actually slept out in the trap in a picnic table chair. T.G. watched the dope boys get money and that kind of influenced him to get in the game. The dope boys were like family to T.G.. They gave him money, took him to the club and his back like the tag on a shirt. Time passed and T.G. met some friends that let him move in with them. T.G. moved into a two bedroom condo housing thirteen people where he slept on couches or the floor. It was a terrible living situation. The two people on the lease had 3 kids and neither of the parents worked. T.G. and his homeboys would work and feed the kids. It was even worse for the kids because there were so many drugs being used in the house but T.G. wasn’t innocent because he had began smoking weed to ease his pain. He called it Thug Medicine. T.G. got worse when he started to smoke because he also began to drink. He started selling weed, delivering coke and not the soda, breaking into cars and houses, stealing out of stores, and running from the cops. T.G. has been arrested two times. One time he had 3 glocks to his face and a barking dog posted in front of him. The amazing thing is T.G. was never booked. Through all of his crime, God had mercy on him. Months later, T.G. moved to Fayetteville, Ar where he continued to do crime. He sold weed, and pills, until the block got really hot and he slowed down. A couple days later he was given a pamphlet about the lord and he began to read it. He also hooked up with his present girl friend Kiara who influenced him to get out of the game and into church. T.G. began to go to church but after a little bit he was back to smoking and drinking. Months later T.G. was in Miami for his biological father’s wedding and he received a phone call alerting him that his little cousin D.J. had died of a massive heart attack at the age of 16. This also hurt T.G. because D.J. was always in church and never did anyone any harm and he was now gone. T.G. wished that it would’ve happened to him instead but then he realized that he should’ve been thanking the lord that it wasn’t him because D.J. was ready and T.G. wasn’t. T.G. received a message through this loss that tomorrow isn’t promised and he got saved and hasn’t looked back. He converted from Gangsta rap to Christian rap and is currently winning souls for the lord. He wouldn’t have it any other way. God looked out for him and he knows what he has to do now. He is rap. He is Tha Gift.I have come to a decision. I would like everyone to respect it and also pray for me. I've decided to take a break from Christian Rap. RAP PERIOD!!! I have been worshiping my career. I have been rapping all my life and I still haven't figured out that it is not about me. I would like to have people buy my albums and everything but, when people don't I get discouraged and I need to be stronger than that. I need to just have time with Jesus Christ so that I can find out what I am truly supposed to do. I need to get back into my bible. I have fallen away from reading due to trying to push out so much music. This is really hurting me. I am depressed and very discouraged. Don't get me wrong at all. I love serving the Lord but I think that this is what he wants me to do right now. I want you to pray about it and let me know what he tells you. LORD WILLING, when I do return to the music ministry, I will be better than ever. That is what Christ deserves. An on fire Christian Rapper. I'm coming back for a new start. I will return as Al T.G. Harris so that you get all of me. Not just T.G.. I hope that this inspires many of you Christian Rappers and Christians to be real all of the time and not some of the time. We will fall short but, that doesn't mean be comfortable with falling short. I have decided to wipe out everything that I recorded in the past. I'm giving my fans until Friday morning (October 24th) to contact me if they want my collection. I have about 10 or 11 cd's including Heavenly Hot Boy which was set to be realeased on the 23rd of October 2008. I will mail you the whole package for $50. I WILL be wiping out all of that music so even if you don't have all of the money, contact me and we'll work something out. Whether it's lowering the price for you or e-mailing you a few inspiring songs. I will also come back more professional too. LORD WILLING!!! I say LORD WILLING because tomorrow isn't promised to us. I want to be on fire and I have been less than that lately. Please pray for me. Thank You, I love you, and until we meet again. God bless.Al T.G. HarrisWhen I come back, expect nothing but the best for Jesus Christ. Keep it Jesus. God bless.T.G.
