My Interests

People mostly I mean we are strange creatures aren't we? Girls are the most facinating of this genre. They have fueled most of the best art and music so they're great. Which brings me to art... I love art. I love walking through gallreis getting lost in messy meaningful pigments lavishly spread out on large canvases. I'm a sucker for abstaract expression. Poetry cos it is the voice of art. I love contemplating good ideas for scripts. directing videos I shoot. Man if its got culture then I'm loving it! I love long talks at 2am. Everything that reminds me of Jesus is great and I've got lots of time for all of that kind of thing.

I'd like to meet:

Friends who are low maintainance. People who love culture art and all the stuff that makes for lovely walks in the pale moonlight. Film students are rather interesting folks as well. Who knows maybe if I get rich I'll be one. People who have there eyes open and understand that you can't be free unless you love and you can't love unless you are free. People who see all kinds of beauty in simple mundane ordinary things. People from Argentina are very high up my list of favorites (you know who you are).

Music:

Firstly, after God, music is my second great love affair. This year in my oppinion has been the greatest year for music since frank Sinatra. I mean the albums that were put out this year by Paolo Nutini, James Morrison and John Mayer are quite possibly the most beautiful bits of Gobbledygook ever. My all time favorite song is "Naked as we Came" by Iron and Wine. My new musical pudding is INdie electronica. I Love the busy sounds fusing to create an illusion in the minds eye that one could actually be a super stellar anime character.Anathallo, Finley Quaye, Imogen Heap, Frou Frou, The Album leaf, The Cure, Jamie Cullum, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Death Cab For Cutie, The Postal Service, Iron and Wine, Jack Johnson, Cold Play, Jose Gonzalez, Michael Bublé, The Thrills, Paolo Nutini, James Morrison, John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, Ray Lamontagne, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Emilie Simon, Incubus, Angels And Airwaves, Dashboard Confessional, Donavon Frankenreiter, Matt Costa, Feist, Ibrahim Ferrer, John Legend, Snow Patrol and Crowded House, Jimmy Dludlu 340ml and Lark. Also to the late Moses Khumalo, you won't be forgotten, your stories in sound will haunt me warmly always.

Movies:

The most powerful form of art in my view. I must direct a feature before I die. My favorite director is Gus van Sant, those long shots are so honest. The films that have left the most profound stain on my mind are: Ill Postino, Amelie, Spirited Away, United States of Leland, Thumbsucker, The Squid and the Whale, The Tiger and the Snow, Lost in Translation, Gerry, The King, Elizabeth Town, Thicker than Water, The Village. The list is very Long and I'll have to expand it when my brain is less cluttered.

Television:

The O. C. is the best show ever, closely followed by the practice. Prison Break is also pretty fantastic. My favorite TV comedy is everybody loves Raymond. If J-bay ever gets past the pilot its gonna be amazing.

Books:

Funnily enough the books that I enjoyed the Most were my High School Set Works: The Great Gatsby (Fitzgeralds decorative style is amazing), Great expectations, To Kill a Mockingbird, John Eldredge's books are incredibly wise (The Liberator who helped me understand what it means to be a man). The Heavenly Man, is a great story of Courage. Corrie Ten Booms biography. I love the word of God, its the only honestly irrifutable piece of writing I've found. That God loves me enough to reach into my life with it is beyond my Human comprehension.

Heroes:

My dad had the most profound impact on my life. My mom Lesley, she's the greatest over fifty I know, she bravely raised four brats all by herself after my dad died. Les I'm evidence of a job well done. Girls still can't beleive it when I open the car door for them. I tell them its one thing mom taught me that I'll never throw away. Duane and Dawn Codrington who have loved me and taken such a huge amount of interest in my life. John Humphreys for putting up with all my rubbish for years. Nicholas Ehrke for rising above the odds to become the greatest pastor I've ever known. Ruth for turning her back on the world and following Jesus. Adaia Zapata who gives her life for the glory of Jesus Christ in every way possible. Nichy Landweh who has literally grown like a bean stalk you keep on growing you have a powerful life that has changed mine.

Wisdom is not a clever argument! A noble act or a good idea...

Each of us are thinking but know little of learning. For our ideas have become about us. No you cannot solve what you perpetually destroy. So start stopping yourself so that there is time to see and h...
