Writing comes first and foremost. I cover live music for a handful of entertainment magazines. I'd rather by at a Phil Lesh show, or a My Morning Jacket show, than anywhere on earth. And for good reason.

The Sopranos, the Office, the Simpsons, Family Guy, and that's about it. I watch the Office religiously though.
"Bang your fingers like a percussion instrument until the fingers begin to bleed a bit" by Charles Bukowski is my favorite piece of literature. Herman Hesse's "Steppenwolf" and Kurt Vonnegut's "Cat's Cradle" are always in heavy rotation. And I generally like my short stories written by Jorge Borge.
