Every once in a while, you hear about a talent that can truly be considered a “Triple Threat.†Natisha Lavalais, known around Houston, Texas as “Lyrical Princess aka Da.Space.Ship.Kidd†is that talent.

This eighteen-year-old high school graduate has been rapping, singing and dancing for more than five years and generating a lot of notice along the way. Rap is one of the things she’s very passionate about. Lyrical Princess says, “I’ve got so much to talk about, so many things I want to say, putting my thoughts to music seems to be a way for me to be heard.â€

With the recent focus on some of rap music’s negative influence on audiences, Lyrical Princess emerges as a creative, witty talent able to rap about urban and crossover issues minus the often times questionable or negative use of language and still reach her listener’s ear.

As an “A†student at Sterling High School in Houston, excelling in English, spelling bee’s and science competitions, she derives a lot of her witty style from her understanding of the English language.

Lyrical Princess has written rap & R&B material for Houston’s M.C.G. Entertainment where she also recorded some of her own rap material. She has also performed at the popular D.J. Screw Festival and has appeared at shows with the likes of Paul Wall, Kiotti and Trae.

A vocal group she joined last year have performed locally as well as competed in Walt Disney’s singing competition. She has also participated as co-captain of her dance troupe “City-wide.†If that’s not enough, Lyrical Princess also is auditioning for America's Next Top Model July 2008, is developing an eye for photography and competes in volleyball, basketball and track.
